I stayed in the Writer's Room for one week to get some work done. For such undertakings, Home@Kertamulia is just the place to be! It's peaceful and quiet, the rooms are clean and tastefully decorated, the people I met were all open, communicative and respectful. Pak Wayan is super kind and very helpful. So I would recommend this place to everyone looking for a rest, or for a place from which they start their journey around Bali. For everything else, the location is not perfect. There is a mini-mart around the corner, but for actual shopping, bars and restaurants, you will have to go to Sanur, which is a 40 mins walk (and not a nice walk unfortunately). So you need a motorcycle basically, just keep this in mind...

Amazing place, I enjoyed it so much. Always friendly people around who help. If you need a pick up or going somewhere you can ask for travelling. If you like to walk you can go to the beach in 25 minutes or you ask for pick up or renting a motorbike. I really recommend that place. Just wonderful and peaceful. Thanks so much. Christine

This place was great. I needed a space to get some work done and this was the perfect place. The wifi is good, the room is spacious and the desk is a great addition. There is good natural light throughout the room and the staff is super friendly and helpful, there is almost always someone there. You will need a motorbike to get around if you want to go out to eat or something, but overall it was a great stay. Thanks!

I stayed one month at Home Kertamulia and enjoyed the time with the house mates and owners of the place. Everything is as described in the ad. As the whole house has 3-4 Rooms for rent, there are several guests coming and going every 1-3 days. Be prepared to meet new people on a regular basis. Everyone was really communicative and helpful. Inexpensive street food is just around the corner and the beach, a yoga studio, a gym and grocery stores are about 5-10 min. away by motorcycle. I had a great time and I would love to stay there again some time.

Communication was a major issue in my stay here, very stressful as the host did not respond to any of my multiple messages sent a week prior to arrival or send me the guidebook until 1 hour prior to my arrival/check in day. The description is also misleading in that they will charge you 150,000 idr for pickup from the airport, which is not stated in the description. It is a good value, but overall it was too stressful due to lack of host communication. The home was clean and beautiful and I would have stayed again if I didn't have so many issues.

I arrived during the night and i found the house empty. Quite a bad experience even if the staff has been helpful by phone and also the day after. Very nice house though and the room was clean but there was only a blanket on the bad and it was so hot, I would rather have just a simple shit.

My stay here was everything it should have been. They were super kind to pick me up from the airport, even though I landed at 11:30pm and they even drove me to Ubud after my stay!!! Six stars for the hosts. A scooter is much needed other wise it is hard to move around in that part of the island. All in all, I would definitely come back :)

After their meeting, Astrid went for work making a map in the Guerilla Trek of Western Nepal, while Anggi decided to climb Island Peak at 6189 mdpl. They took their meeting in Nepal as a auspicious sign of faith of friendship. They met again in Bali and decided to create the space for creative collaboration.

HOME@Kertamulia is their baby and home in Bali, when they are not all over the place. The home have a host father call Bapak Wayan, where they met him through the process of HOME establishment. He will welcome you like your own father in our home when we are away :)

Both girls love travelling solo and find inspirations throughout their journeys in life to whatever places they have been. They feel the need of HOME is necessary while you are travelling. They wanted to share the feeling to people all over the world. HOME is a dream in the making, that life is so much more and the process of travelling make one to be a better version of themselves.
