Our accommodation is situated in a nice and very lively area of Forest, 100 meters from the beautiful Forest and Duden Parc. It's a charming 1937 appartment building featuring late art deco elements, that has been partially renovated over the last years. There's a bright, open living and diner space, a bathroom with italian shower, a big and quiet bedroom, small bureau or salon d'amis, a small kitchen with nice balcony featuring late evening sunsets. N.b. We are still working on it!

Weitere wichtige Hinweise
We live in the area of Rochefort, Forest, a 100 meters from the Forest and Duden parc. In the neighbourhood you can find a colourful mix of portugese, morrocon or polish snackbars and stores, new coffee and brunch places, cosy markets, beer and wine bars.

Go for a long walk to the astonishing park and take a picnic or play petanque with! In summertime there's concerts and events, but the atmosphere is always good!

Hier wirst du sein

Vorst, Brussels Hoofdstedelijk Gewest, Belgien

Our place is in the region of Forest, bordering the region of Saint-Gilles. Both communities have their own reasons to visit, and we can enjoy the best of both!

FOREST

Forest is a multicultural commune boasting several residential neighbourhoods where the living is pleasant and peaceful. There are plenty of green spaces and parks in Forest for residents and visitors who enjoy a stroll. Forest commune is located in the southwest of the Brussels-Capital Region, nestled between Uccle to the southeast, Ixelles to the east, Anderlecht to the west and Saint-Gilles to the northeast. A large part of its 6.2 square kilometres is taken up by woodland and parks: Duden, Forest, Forest Abbey, Jacques Brel, Abbé Froidure and Bempt.
Forest’s topography is characterised by a very palpable gradient, rising from west to east. The highest point in Forest around 100 metres above sea level provides one of the finest vistas of Brussels to be found.
The main attractions include several remarkable buildings in the art deco and modern style. From its medieval past Forest retains Saint-Denis church and some buildings testifying to the wealth of its now-gone abbey.
On the edge of the circular road, Forest is also a place of major industry.
The internationally renowned entertainment venue Forest National brings plenty of big names and media attention to the commune.

SAINT-GILLES

Located in the heart of the European capital, Saint-Gilles is often referred to as a “village within the city”. It is above all one of the rare Brussels municipalities to have managed to preserve a historic building rich in different architectural styles. But it is also a 'village' with no less than 140 different nationalities.
Located in south-central Brussels, Saint-Gilles is a commune spread over 2.5 square kilometres with two very different faces. The well-to-do, elegant neighbourhoods in the upper reaches of the commune are home to majestic private houses in every architectural style fashionable at the beginning of the last century, especially art nouveau. The home of Victor Horta is now a museum that welcomes thousands visitors a year.
The presence of Brussels-Midi train station in the lower part of the commune has resulted in massive redevelopment, especially since the arrival of the high-speed rail link.
Half-way between these two parts is the Parvis de Saint-Gilles, always dressed in a vibrant atmosphere and with multiple options to eat and drink out. Furthermore, you can ecplore the region around the place van Meenen (home to the town hall), which hosts a afternoon and evening market in a colourful, picturesque setting (on Mondays).
