After wonderful bike travels in Europe experiencing pensions, hostels, and agritourismos, we decided it would be fun to bring that back home someday. Prior to retiring and taking a job transfer to Seattle we bought and lived aboard an old 60 foot boat for 3 years. We Loved our liveaboard boat life and dock neighbors and friends but rain was to much for us and we returned to Phoenix where friends and family live. In the Hot summers in Phoenix we want to escape the heat and be in the mountains. We appreciate sitting out on the deck enjoying the ponderosa pines and wildlife. We like hiking, boating, biking, fishing, cooking, happy hour, many genres of music, dancing, RV camping, and escaping from technology to really appreciate a balance. My favorite job was as a tour guide in Southern Cal and Baja,Mexico. I’ve been a videographer, ice cream store owner, Pitney Bowes sales Manager, hostess, waitress, ski resort restaurant manager, security guard and Home Depot design consultant. Dave my husband served in the Air Force in Charleston, SC, worked for the airlines and was a risk manager for insurance companies and the ski resort of Telluride. We lived in over 10 states mostly due to job transfers and what a ride it’s been for 46 years of marriage. We have volunteered as coaches, serving as ice hockey and swim team President, Girl and Boy Scout leaders, band booster fundraisers,Sunday school teachers, HOA boards, school clubs, the arts, and state park camp-hosts. I have always told my kids to grow wherever your planted in life and I think we planted that seed.
