Come live like a local! This well finished and comfy apartment will be the perfect escape from your busy life. It is located in the basement of our family home and is finished with all the right touches. We are happy to make accommodations for special requests, romantic gestures, families with children, and any reasonable request you can come up with! We are proud 5 star superhosts of three properties in the area and strive to give you the perfect vacation in our gorgeous part of the world.

Die Unterkunft
In the summer, our well equipped and cozy apartment will be the perfect escape from the sun. It can get hot out here in the valley! The unit stays nice and cool. Just in case, we do have central air throughout the house. Don't get caught in an above grade place without a/c - trust us on this one!

There is ample opportunity for walking, biking, hiking, and fishing without having to turn on the car! Our property is located between pigeon creek and the Bow River - a truly picturesque location. Want to know about the secret river swing or the bonfire pit on the beach?? Just ask! For young families, there is a great park a few houses down the street.

In winter, the in-floor heating will keep you toasty warm after a day of skiing, skating, show-shoeing, or one of the other many winter activities the Bow Valley has to offer. Our neighbourhood offers a skating rink and cross country ski tracks can often be found on the path behind our home.

Summer or winter......maybe you just need time away and want to come and hunker down in the mountains for some much needed R&R??? That's okay, too!!! Fresh air is good for the soul. We look forward to providing you with a memorable stay in the Bow Valley!

We pride ourselves in the tranquility of the space and the area we are located and do not welcome large groups and parties here. If you are looking for this type of experience, we won't be the right fit for you.

This property is ideal for single travellers, couples, and families. Special accommodations can be made for more than two adults who are looking for the experience we provide. Please reach out to us in advance of booking and explain your situation. If it is a good fit, we are happy to proceed and would love to host you. Please be aware there is a fee associated with this. This can be negotiated for stays longer than one night.

We kindly request that you are honest with us at the time of booking regarding how many people you are bringing with you. Unfortunately, we have had several recent experiences that have brought about this change. We do live on property and eventually discover who is in our home, which creates a difficult and uncomfortable situation for everyone.

There is a separate entrance to your fully private basement apartment. You will find a full bathroom, fully stocked and gorgeous kitchen, tv area with pullout bed & fireplace, bedroom with queen bed, and a walk in closet big enough for the pack 'n play or a second sleeping area for the kids.

In the summer you'll enjoy the cool temps of the apartment, which will be an escape from the hot sun. In the winter, you'll be welcomed by our top-notch heated floors. No chilly feet when you step out of bed here!

During these unprecedented times, we want to provide you with the best stay in the valley. You can rest assured that our cleaning standards are top notch . The apartment is kept spic and span by our meticulous resident nurse. She’s into sanitizing, scrubbing, and deep cleaning like only a nurse knows how!!

And guess what else is awesome?? We have a high tech HVAC system installed in the apartment. Fresh air is not a concern if you book with us. A complete air exchange occurs every 40 minutes. You WILL NOT check in to an Airbnb with stale air!

As mentioned in our description, we live in the upper two levels of this home and have insulated the space between the floors as an added sound barrier. We have three children and are often away with work, school, and activities. When we are home, we do our best to walk with quiet steps when on the main floor of the house. We spend most of our time on the second floor (that is where our kitchen and living areas are), but please be aware you may hear us at times.

This new neighbourhood is located on the far east end of the Canmore area.  It is close enough to all of the amenities Canmore has to offer, but far enough away to get that mountain experience you are looking for.

Without starting the car, you can: hike, bike, swim, cross-country ski, trail run, skate, or snowshoe! There is also a park for the kids to enjoy.

*Please note - This is a brand new development. Many houses are completed, but nearby construction noise will occur on and off over the next year or so. Recent guests have told us they did not hear a thing, but we believe transparency is key!
