Hi, I’m Reika. I live in a small village on the fringe of Wakayama surrounded by beautiful nature. The house I live in used to my grandparents house which was built late 60’s. After 10 years its empty, I moved in. My family and friends helped me a lot to make it better place. Now, It’s pretty cozy single-story house. The guest room is one of rooms in my house.
I was born in Osaka and stayed there until 97’. After that My family and I moved in Seoul, Korea because of my dad business. The life in Seoul was so exciting for little girl. I was back in Osaka 02’ and started middle and high school life at international school. My favorite part of student life was at the university. I liked traveling all around the world. Staying in Togo, Africa was the most exciting trip I’ve ever had.
I got the job in Tokyo after the graduation. The first one was sales at surveying company. The second one was PR at publishing company. 5 years in Tokyo was full of energy. I worked really hard and had so much fun with my friends.
I started thinking about my self put in the nature. I left Tokyo and moved in Palau to be a kayaking guide. I was surrounded by beautiful ocean and mountains every morning and night. It was one of my best periods of my life.
Traveling and living all around the world was exciting for me, but at the same time, I’ve been looking for “my hometown”. Now I think I finally found it. My favorite parts of country life are farming, doing BBQ at the garden, exercising in the nature and communicating with neighbors.
