This sparkling, private & secure 2br end apartment was renovated in March 2020: all new bathroom, split-system air conditioners, fans, bedroom flooring, furniture, linen, appliances & kitchenware. It has a fully equipped kitchen & laundry, undercover parking, shady pool & stacks of books, games & Lego (join our Lego challenge!). Enjoy beautiful Queens Gardens opposite or hike nearby Castle Hill. Just a 5min walk to Gregory St shops/cafes/bars & Strand beaches, & a 10/20min walk to city/stadium.

With unlimited Wifi, this well-designed 112m² apartment is in a small block in a popular, safe and convenient location. The apartment has leafy outlooks on three sides, and there is a shady pool at the rear of the property. It’s just a walk to the best of everything Townsville has to offer: the Strand waterfront, Castle Hill, city, stadium, parks, pools and sporting facilities.

With plenty of storage, this apartment is perfect for short, medium or long stays for singles, couples, professionals, families and small groups. All guests will need to be respectful of noise expectations of the mostly owner-occupier residents in other units. Schoolies and rowdy groups are not suitable for this apartment.

The bedding setup is deliberately flexible, and will be adapted to suit your booking. There is a queen bed in each bedroom with two foldaway singles, and a double sofa bed in the living room. Please refer to the photo showing the 10 bedding options, and advise which one suits you when you book. It will be ready for you when you arrive. All of the beds have beautiful Jocelyn Proust bed covers profiling Australian birds and flora.

The bookshelves have a range of books, games, jigsaws and Lego for adults and children. There are pool noodles, balls and frisbees in the storeroom. There are also tennis racquets/balls for you to use - nearby courts are easy to hire. Mambo beach towels, a picnic rug and portable chairs are also provided.

Parking: there is a dedicated undercover carpark, an additional off-street parking spot, and plenty of free street parking.

Tea & coffee: There is a Delonghi Dedica espresso machine and an initial supply of ground coffee. There is a teapot and an initial supply of Chinese leaf tea and Twinings teabags.

Coles Click & Collect: Where possible, I am happy to collect your pre-ordered groceries from the North Ward Coles - up to 3 bags of items - either the day of, or day before your arrival, and put them in the fridge and pantry. This is helpful for people arriving late at night or for those wanting some essentials when they arrive. Choose the bag-free option and I will use reusable bags from the apartment. Before placing your order, please consult with me to arrange a time that suits my schedule.

Young children: There is a portable cot with sheets and a highchair. My children, aged 13 and 15, live nearby and are available for babysitting. Please ask for details.

Stairs: There are 12 stairs to the apartment. There is no lift in the building.

Sustainability: I'm committed to ensuring your stay has as little environmental impact as possible. Measures include:
- using energy and water efficient appliances
- providing Who Gives A Crap toilet paper and tissues (let me know if you want your own $10 referral discount)
- bulk purchases of eco-friendly products such as shampoo and laundry detergent, to limit packaging
- providing reusable shopping bags for you to use during your stay
- providing extra crockery, glassware and cutlery so the dishwasher runs full
- facilitating Containers For Change recycling
- providing keep-cups and reusable water bottles for purchase, in case you forget your own
- suggesting settings for running the air-conditioners efficiently
- switching off appliances between bookings to limit energy waste
- welcoming guest feedback on ways to improve sustainability

Directly opposite Queens Gardens (which you can walk through to get to the touch football fields, tennis courts and Townsville Sports Reserve). 1 minute walk to Stanley Street and the various tracks up Castle Hill. 5 minutes walk to the bustling Gregory Street cafes/restaurants and shopping centre including Coles supermarket, pharmacy, bottleshop, bakery, ATMs and fashion boutiques. Just past the shops is the Strand: a 2 kilometre waterfront, perfect for sitting/walking/running/swimming/playing/fishing any time of the day or night. The CBD is a 1 minute drive or a 10 minute walk, and the new Townsville football stadium is a 20 minute walk through the CBD (or a short drive).
