The Farmhouse at Ridgewood is perfectly located only 3 miles from Harding University and town, yet is completely secluded. Many wildlife make this their home including deer, hawks, large Pileated Woodpeckers, Great Horned owls, quail, a variety of small birds, armadillos and more. A lovely cypress encircled pond sits next to the house, and is filled with bass and brim. There is a 2-mile walking / running loop located on the property with hills. If you're up for a real workout challenge, you are welcome to help us bale hay. A dog and two cats live in the main house and other dogs visit regularly. There are 19 chickens that mill about the place. This farmhouse and land has a wonderful energy whether you seek rest, relaxation and rejuvenation or solitude and privacy. There is an art studio that you are welcome to use attached to the green barn next to the house. If you would like company and meaningful conversation, we welcome guests into the main house for meals, gathering around the fire (indoor and out) and cooking on the grill. You are welcome to use the grill too.
