LOCATION: We are located in the HEART of the city of San Francisco. The location is KEY in the center of great food, cafés, shopping, transportation, farmer's markets, the very popular Dolores Park, and hipsterville with a great neighborhood vibe! The San Francisco Bay Area attracts millions of tourists every year and is known for its varied cuisine, panoramic views, scenic drives, music, museums, and especially for its diverse, cosmopolitan population.
TRANSPORTATION: MUNI, BART, Golden Gate Transit: San Francisco public transportation is world class, just like the city itself. You can get just about anywhere in the SF Bay Area on the public transit system. Just ask and I'll let you know how to get there, but in any case maps will be provided! Cars can also easily be rented from nearby car rental agencies. The Old Fashioned Street Car runs right out in front. The J Church runs on the cross street Church. There's the K L M T underground subway lines within a few block radius and the 22 and 33 bus lines one block away in either direction.
A taxi from the airport is approximately $40 -$50 one way depending how much you tip.
2 Hour Street Parking is available M-F. Evenings & weekends there's no time limit, but check signs for street cleaning.
CLIMATE & WEATHER: As Mark Twain once said" The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco." Which doesn't mean that we don't have good weather or warm days, but the best policy is: if you're prepared for the worst, then you'll always be pleasantly surprised! It's just gets really windy as the day progresses and we are known for relentless fog, but more so if you're staying near the coast. Don't go toward the beach unless it's really really hot and you'll be OK I promise! Always pack an umbrella, a windbreaker and a few extra long-sleeved, layers just to be on the safe side! The neighboring, Dolores Park is actually our "urban beach" anyway because it's a big, huge park with a whole lot of activities for the whole family from soccer, tennis, basketball, and a playground for the little-ones to live performances, festivals, and concerts or just plain old partying, bbq's and having a great time with a group of friends on a beautiful day :)
SF & BAY AREA EVENTS INFO:
You can pick up a free SF Weekly or SF Guardian newspaper on just about any corner in the city to find out about night life or online to find a variety of events info as well. There are more than plenty of diverse cultural events, music, art, dance, open mikes, sports, nature/outdoor, nightlife, etc. and there is something here for everybody! SF is a very vibrant, cosmopolitan and internationally recognized city for it's array of cultural diversity, architecture, unique history and of course, liberal politics. (*Just a side note: our neighbor, Dennis Peron, an activist and former partner of Harvey Milk who lives a few doors down with the Buddha painted on his garage door, authored Proposition 215: medical marijuana fyi :-) Tours can be arranged of his very "San Francisco style" home. He was also featured in the film "Milk' with Sean Penn, who also lives in the North Bay among other actors such as Robin Williams and Creator of Star Wars- George Lucas).
Within a short walking distance, there is an array of international cuisines to choose from at affordable prices. Please see our Guidebook for more info! You name it we've got it from Italian, Vietnamese, Mexican, Spanish, Mediterranean, Burmese, Vegan/Vegetarian, Indian, Thai, French, Cuban, to food trucks, smoothies stands, raw health food and many small independently owned gourmet deli markets and cafés, farmer's markets as well as large commercial supermarkets.
Extended Stay Rates may be available upon request.

This was my second visit to The Urban Oasis and I enjoyed this visit more than the first. I stayed in the sunny room in the back of the flat. The quiet was amazing and I slept very well. Thanks again, Christina.
Excellent host, room was as advertised. Cristina's instructions were clear and accurate. Hector was very welcoming. Nice kitchen central gathering area and other guests were nice too.
Location is great! Very central, close to BART.
Awesome place with awesome people, great location. I've no complains but I've a public thank you for allowing me to do a late check-out.
Christina was really nice, peaceful and friendly. She was responsive to any needs. The location of the "Urban Oasis " is in the best and safest area of SF, walking distance from breakfast cafe, bars, restaurants, public transportation. The room was very comfortable and quite. Highly recommend to everyone! Thank you a lot Christina, happy new year!
Christina and Hector were great hosts! I stayed with them for a little over a month and felt right at home. They are open, generous, experts as hosts, and respectful of your space.
Due to my work schedule, I wasn't home very often but when I did see them, they were both welcoming and conversational. :) The environment of meeting the other guests as well/a communal household where everyone can do their own thing but still have a temporary home to rest in was just great!
The location was convenient for me- Dolores Park is a block away and surrounded by great eateries and shops. The room itself was cozy and quiet. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
I had a great time staying a week in San Francisco at Christina and Hector's place! My room there was large, colorful and quiet, with a very comfortable bed. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, with good information about getting around in the city. They are in a very central location, in a safe, easily walkable area, close to several convenient modes of public transportation. Truly a "home away from home" in San Francisco -- highly recommended!
Christina and Hector were great hosts! This was my first experience using airbnb, and now I plan to again. If I ever come to SF, I'd like to stay at Christina's again. I was greeted with a clean, beautiful bedroom. I had forgotten my shampoo and conditioner, but they already provided these amenities. I had an interview I was stressed out about , and Christina did everything she could to ease the process from letting me borrow her iron to stealing her laptop case for a day! I appreciate everything! Thanks again
I loved staying at Urban Oasis!!! It was everything I wanted. Nice host, clean quiet house, great location everything you need is right there. It's truly worth every penny! Christina & Hector are very nice to stay with!!!
This is a very relaxing place to stay, the bed and linens are great, and the windows open very easily for fresh air. The location is great, all major transportation is easily available. Christina is a great host, apartment is nice and she is extremely helpful. Even though I know my way around most of SF, Christina still told of some new places to go eat and they were fantastic.
I had a perfect stay at the Urban Oasis. I was only in the city for a couple of nights for a wedding but Christina and Hector's apartment is very welcoming and the room was so bright and beautifully decorated that it was really easy to relax and feel at home when I had a spare couple of hours to relax. I would thoroughly recommend the Urban Oasis and will definitely look to stay here again on my next trip to the city.
