I believe that my guests like to have their privacy and enjoy the place that they rented. I'm nearby for any issue, but not "right next door" which can feel a little inhibiting.

NEAR ALL THE ACTION and some of the best live music venues in Marin: the no name bar, Seahorse Music Café and Caffe Divino; and all the activities: Sea Trek (paddling rentals), Tour de Sausalito (bike rentals), Yoga of Sausalito and the Modern Sailing School. Now you can rent high end bicycle road bikes just down the street at Bicycle Odyessy. Get your training ride in to Point Reyes through beautiful West Marin County!
This is the most convenient, centrally located place to see all the sights on foot or by car!

We've equipped the place with a new coffee maker, although there are three excellent coffee brewers within a block. (See comments about coffee maker) I've replaced the shades with black-out shades downstairs. (See comments about shades).
* Absolutely no smoking in the house
* I'm not a big hotel, so please help me keep the heating bills down. Turn down the heat. Turn out the lights! And the Stereo when not in use.
* If you break something, please email me. I need to get it replaced before the next guests arrive.
* Enjoy! I want people to enjoy the place as much as I do. I hope you create great memories here.

The location was excellent. It was great being able to walk to restaurants. The house was very comfortable; we enjoyed the view of the waterfront from the patio in the morning. Would definitely stay here again.
We stayed at Steve's place the week of Christmas 2014. The place was great. Steve had it decorated for the holiday. The condo was very comfortable and a fabulous location. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
LOVED the Sausalito condo. I had more out-of-town family members than I could accommodate in my home, so rented Steve's condo to house them. In addition to having plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, the kitchen/dining area/living room was a fabulous space for all of us to hang out together. It was just as described/pictured, great location, and everyone loved it. Highly recommended, and I would rent it again without question if I needed the space.
The apartment was in a perfect location in the heart of Sausalito. Two very spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms, one on-suite and third half-bathroom. Huge closet in master. Very nice and compact kitchen with granite counters. Just a great place.
Easy walk to downtown shops and restaurants. The apartment also has 4 bicycles available for guest use, which was great as we just biked around the waterfront area. We also took the ferry from Sausalito to San Francisco for a day of shopping. There's so much to do in the area (Marin Headlands, Golden Gate Bridge, Muir Woods, Stinson Beach, Bolinas Bay etc.)
We had a great Thanksgiving long weekend!
This is a great location where you can relax but still close enough to the big city life. View out the window is great.
Steve’s place was fantastic and worked out perfectly for us. The location can’t be beat. It is an easy walk to so many food and shopping options. We were in town for a wedding and had family members staying at houses in different locations around town. I think that we ended up with the best choice. We were the closest to everything and only used a car when we went into San Francisco. Loved the deck where we enjoyed our morning coffee with the views of the marina.
The house has a nice layout and good sized rooms. There is lots of natural light and a beautiful kitchen (though with all the good restaurant choices we never cooked any meals).
I would love to make another trip to Sausalito in the future and would definitely look into staying here again.

I grew up in San Francisco, but have made Sausalito my home. Its rich history and connection to all things watersport are why I love to be here. A sailor from a young age, I have recently taken up outrigger canoeing and stand-up paddleboard. I’m an avid cyclist who uses his car as little as possible while enjoying the many wonderful bikeways of Marin County. I’m a history buff who’s not shy about talking politics, religion or economics and I follow the markets closely. I’m happy to share an insider’s knowledge of the Bay Area’s history, biking trails or local hot spots.
