We've equipped the place with a new coffee maker, although there are three excellent coffee brewers within a block. (See comments about coffee maker) I've replaced the shades with black-out shades downstairs. (See comments about shades).
* Absolutely no smoking in the house
* I'm not a big hotel, so please help me keep the heating bills down. Turn down the heat. Turn out the lights! And the Stereo when not in use.
* If you break something, please email me. I need to get it replaced before the next guests arrive.
* Enjoy! I want people to enjoy the place as much as I do. I hope you create great memories here.
Just returned from one of our best vacations ever, and Steve's home played a big part in making it so special. The home is roomy and very comfortable with upscale amenities, including an especially beautiful and well equipped kitchen. Great beds and linens, and fantastic view from the upstairs bedroom. Loved opening the windows and enjoying the breeze. Walking distance to wonderful restaurants. (We liked the Spinnaker so much we ate there 2 out of 3 nights...amazing views of the bay.) Had a great time walking across the Golden Gate Bridge and hiking in Muir Woods. Also enjoyed walking down the street right in front of the home, looking in shops and getting ice cream, as well as walking through some neighborhood streets up the hill. The location couldn't be better. We had a rental car so really appreciated the parking space in front of the house. There are a queen and double bed (I believe) upstairs, and comfy large sectional sofa downstairs. Great dining room table, washer and dryer, 3 bathrooms (!), 2 with showers. Enjoyed watching TV in the evening after busy days. Loved Sausalito! Everything was perfect! Hope to come back someday to make more special family memories. Thanks, Steve.
The host met us at the home on the day of our arrival and helped us figure out how to work the stereo and the panel for dimming the lights in the downstairs of the home. The home is located right at the beginning of the downtown area. You can walk to all the shops and restaurants. We were there over 4th of July and there were festivals and fireworks all of which were in walking distance. You can see the water and boats across the street from the balconies.
Steve's place is clean, cozy enough for a family of 5 and in an awesowme location. Sailboats and cafe across the street and plenty of shops and eats within walking distance. Our family of 5 stayed there and really enjoyed ourselves. Would definitely stay again.
This was a great place to stay. Short walk to shops, restaurants and the SF ferry. The place was well kept and fit our needs perfectly. Would definitely stay here again.
Great place-we had a fantastic time!
Prime location! Close to everything - shops, restaurants, etc. San Francisco is a short ferry ride or drive over the Golden Gate Bridge. The kitchen was well equipped. The beds were comfortable. Instructions were handy for the lighting and sound system. Couldn't ask for anything more. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you Steve!
This townhouse is in a great location in downtown Sausalito overlooking the water. The unit worked great for our family of 5. One of the bedrooms was big enough to accommodate a mattress on the floor so that all 5 of us had a bed. Steve was a great host. I would recommend this unit. We had a great time and would definitely go back.

I grew up in San Francisco, but have made Sausalito my home. Its rich history and connection to all things watersport are why I love to be here. A sailor from a young age, I have recently taken up outrigger canoeing and stand-up paddleboard. I’m an avid cyclist who uses his car as little as possible while enjoying the many wonderful bikeways of Marin County. I’m a history buff who’s not shy about talking politics, religion or economics and I follow the markets closely. I’m happy to share an insider’s knowledge of the Bay Area’s history, biking trails or local hot spots.
