Nestled in Burlington's Old North End, you're a 15 min walk to Church St & the Waterfront. Guestroom upstairs in my historic, small, funky cottage offers comfortable double mattress on frame and refinished wood floors. Full of original art, character, natural light. Adventurous, easy going travelers fit right in. Driveway or easy street parking, 2 indoor/outdoor cats. Shared bathroom downstairs. Gorgeous yard to enjoy. Great for those who appreciate peace, quiet, and wabi-sabi beauty.

Die Unterkunft
Artsy Guestroom is upstairs with bathroom located downstairs. You ascend a unique, wide wooden curved staircase. My home is quaint, small, flowing with life. Artwork, plants, found treasures. Comfortably lived in, an eclectic, bohemian atmosphere. A sanctuary from full work life, best for those on quiet side who are laid back and value the unconventional.

This is like staying at a friend's house as opposed to an Inn or full time B and B. Meaning, my day to day life stuff is about. Not in the guestroom which is light and airy :) and has an ac for the hotter summer days.

Guestroom has a double mattress on frame for good night's sleep. Newly refinished original wood floors! Nice natural light, dormer/slanted ceilings (best for those under 6' or so). Exposed historic wood lathe. I live here too as do my cats, Oubie and Charlie.

Gorgeous yard to enjoy Spring, Summer, Fall, set up like an outdoor living space flowing with green and flowers. You are welcome to enjoy the yard. No kitchen use meaning no meal or food prep, but feel free to store a couple things/wine/beer/leftovers in the fridge. Can use the microwave, dishes, glasses, wine opener for sure. There's a coffee maker/coffee to use or if I make a pot will leave some for you with cups on the counter.

In Winter, only 30 mins to Bolton Ski area. Smuggs/Stowe 1.25 hrs away. Towels, clean sheets, coziness and lots of insider local tips await!

Weitere wichtige Hinweise
- Historic, small cottage built in the 1870's with lots of original art, charm and some quirks with updates in progress.
- Guestroom has dormer ceilings, so may feel tight for someone much over 6'.
- Geared toward those that appreciate the more unique, artsy and original.
- Myself and two kitties reside here, when I'm not out of town.
- Be sure to answer the top secret question when requesting to book. What's your favorite type of food?! It indicates you have read the fine print and find it a good match for you and your preferences and travelling needs!

-Mutual respect goes without saying and I realize that's different things for different people. Clear and honest communication a must. If something is amiss, let me know during your stay. I will do my best to remedy it.

- Check in is anytime after 2 pm, arranged ahead of time based on our schedules. If you'd like an earlier check in please let me know and if possible will accommodate!

Thanks/Merci!

The Old North End is a diverse, historic neighborhood filled with a variety of multicultural grocery stores and delicious authentic Nepalese take-out food around the corner! Nunyun's Cafe serves delish breakfasts and lunch and has amazing baked goods. You can walk downtown from here in 15 minutes and be at the lake's edge in about 15 too. The bike path is accessible by bike in 5 mins and is a 10 min ride to lovely Texaco beach, (dog friendly and not accessible by car) and 15 mins to North Beach which is great for swimming and you can rent paddle boards, kayaks etc... here.
Radio Bean, a coffee shop/bar/music venue is 10 mins on foot and has a host of great shows, food etc...next door is Dueno Duende, a super resto w/ great vegan and vegetarian options and next to there is the coolest lounge around - The Lamp Shop.

In terms of safety, if you are walking around at night with someone else, you should be fine. As a woman, solo, I would bike or cab it or drive.

Our neighborhood is an eclectic mix of long time Burlingtonians, some very new comers as in refugees from all over and the likes of me, people who have moved here from elsewhere.

Creative, courteous, adventurous. I'm a fine artist/muralist/decorative painter, educator, community activist and prefer cutting to the chase. Je parle francais aussi! I value quiet in the morn' and like to be around those that appreciate that too. I've traveled beaucoup and have lived in Washington DC, Paris, and West Africa.
