Welcome to camp!

Out of respect for our many and diverse guests please take notice of and live out a few considerations for your borrowed space.

When you enter the large log driveway at Deer Creek Mountain Camp, 228 south pine, Bailey CO, you’ll drive in about 600 feet to the RV area. Sites 1-6 are marked to your left. There’s no check in it office just get set up and enjoy!

Pets: In order to accommodate a diverse set of guests and most of all to protect our really active wildlife at camp we don’t allow pets of any kind on the property or in the vehicles of guests.

Quiet hours: 8 pm to 8 am. We work hard to cultivate a simple and quiet atmosphere here at our 6 campsites. We ask you to arrive on site with enough time to set up that by 8 pm your activity is minimal and quiet so that all of your neighbors around you can enjoy their quiet corner of Park County Colorado.

Fire pit: we provide each of the 6 camp sites with a 34” steel fire ring. We live in a thickly wooded environment so your extreme care to monitor your fire and keep it safe is critical. There may be times in the summer months that we are in a fire ban and you’ll not be able to have an outdoor flame of any kind. Before retiring for the evening or leaving your site be SURE your fire is DEAD OUT using the water provided at your site.

Site Occupancy: 1 RV and 1 vehicle, 6 persons per site. You may ask us for variations to this policy but to carefully maintain our quiet and simple camp sites we may hold to policy.

Tents: we do not allow primitive tent camping on site. We have full hookup RV sites and do not offer a public bathhouse for tent or primitive camping. This includes any camper, pop up, or van / car camping that does not have full hookups and bathroom.

Children: guests are fully responsible for the location and behavior of their children. We have many guests on site in other areas of our 125 acres and it’s critical that you are with your children in the RV areas reserved for you and not trespassing into areas that aren’t publicly available. Your RV area is similarly off limited to people renting lodging in other areas of the camp. You do of course have access to the summit loop trail to hike to the top. Text us for a map of the area.

Trash: we have a dumpster near the sites to the west, near the facilities and maintenance building, available for your trash service.

Fireworks, firearms, pellet guns, BB guns, airsoft, paintball, or any other form of recreation that can or may infringe on the space or sound quality of other guests are prohibited.

We have some space to ride bicycles at the RV area but don’t allow any kind of battery or fuel driven vehicles other than your tow vehicle or RV. All vehicles and bikes must remain in the RV area and do not have access to the upper part of the camp facility.

RV guests are restricted to the RV sites 1-6 area. There are many more privately owned properties up the main drive above the RV sites that are out of bounds to RV guests and reserved use to the people renting those cabins and spaces individually. RV guests may access the trail to hike to the mountain summit at the camp entrance, across the dam, and up to the top but must return the same trail as not to access an area of the camp reserved by other guests.

Use of the water on site is restricted to human use and can not be used for washing vehicles.

To limit noise and dust we do not exceed 10 mph on any of the camp roads.

Out of careful respect to all of our guests any failure to observe these guidelines will initiate a forced departure and a sacrifice of reservation payments

We are a couple who lived in Oklahoma and farmed for 20 or so years, but recently made the decision to buy Deer Creek Mountain Camp and move up here to Colorado! We love to host people and events on our property. Our motto for the camp is "intentionally simple". We want people to come up here and get away from the normal stressors of life and enjoy the outdoors and enjoy each other.
