Paradis Island is now open with the new normal. Our place is an eco-friendly and unspoiled private island for rent where guests can enjoy either one, or both lake villas. Each villa is rustic furnished and has fully set-up glamping tents. Located at Cavinti, Laguna, it can be found near Lake Lumot at the Sierra Madre mountain top, approximately a 3 hours’ drive from Manila. Paradis is the French word for paradise. We want our guests to fully experience our Paradis way of living and unwinding.

Die Unterkunft
Paradis Island is 6,800 sq.m. in total, spacious enough for 2 villas to occupy. Evidently, Villa 2 has 1 big bedroom on the second floor with 3 beds, and huge balcony overlooking the lake. It also has an equipped kitchen and toilet and bathroom on the first floor. Being on a remote and virgin island, our resources are limited for power and water. This, however, highlights the eco-friendly, peaceful, and natural vibe of the island. Rest assured, we operate on solar panels and a scheduled power generator set for the comfort of the guests. We also have a water pump and tank for the water supply. The villa has no aircon units but is well-ventilated, furnished with electric fans and screen windows so the guests can stay and sleep comfortably. It also helps that the lake and the island are situated on the top of Sierra Madre Mountain. So, it is not as warm as compared to the city living temperature. It gets pretty cool even on summer nights at around 24 - 26 degrees Celsius.

Zugang für Gäste
Guests have for them the entire 1-bedroom and balcony within Villa 2, as well as the kitchen and toilet and bathroom in the first floor. Overnight rate is 3,900 to 4,400 pesos per night which covers 2 guests. Every additional guest on top of the 3 is 1,000 pesos per head per night. Kids 2-8 years old would be 500 pesos per head per night. Villa 2 can accommodate up to 6 people and 3 more can sleep in each of the two glamping tents available.

Guests can also book at Villa 1. In terms of privacy, guests do not have to worry since the island is large enough to accommodate the 2 groups. Some amenities however will be shared between Villa 1 and Villa 2 guests.

Renting the Whole Island

If you want to occupy the whole island exclusively for your group or family, you may then take the other villa as well. If your group is more than 20, it is natural to occupy both villas and so the island is automatically for your group alone.

Check-in time is at 3pm to give way for sanitation and disinfection of the villa and amenities. Check-out is at 11am.

13. Can we arrive at an earlier time in the island? What time is the earliest check-in in the villa?

We usually have bookings even on weekdays, so expect that the last guests check out at around 11am.

Our earliest check-in is at 3pm to give enough time for the housekeeping staff to sanitize and disinfect the villa and the amenities before you check in.

Still, if you wish to arrive at an earlier time in the morning, Paradis Island will generously accommodate you with its amenities as well as its outdoor privileges while waiting for your villa to be ready.

14. Can we just walk-in?

We strongly require advance booking since there are days that we are fully booked. Please do message us your dates so we can check our calendar.

15. How big is the island and what is the maximum capacity for events and overnight stay?

The island is around 6,800 sq. m. in lot area, and we only have 2 villas for rental to preserve the exclusivity and privacy of the guests booking for their holidays and staycations. We can accommodate 50 - 70 pax for events and 30 - 40 pax for overnight stay in the villas and glamping tents.

18. Are the Villa rooms air conditioned?

Paradis is an off-grid island, meaning it is without any electric and water lines. We only operate on solar panels in the morning and an electric generator set at night. There are multiple fans in the villa to support with the ventilation.

It helps a lot that the lake and the island is located at the mountain top of Sierra Madre Mountain range, so it is pretty breezy and cool, especially at night.

19. Do you have a microwave, hair dryer or rice cooker in the villa?

Since we are an off-grid island relying on solar power and generator, appliances with high wattage cannot be supported by our electric power. So, microwaves, hair dryers, rice cookers, and the like cannot be used in the island. For cooking, we have a gas range and charcoal grill that can be used at 500 pesos for overnight stay of 5 pax and below and 1,000 pesos for group of 6 and above.

20. What time is the generator open? Do you have extra charge when we request to open it outside the set schedule?

Generator set can be opened starting 8pm, though some guests are okay to have it opened around 10pm or so, or when they are about to go to sleep. Occasionally, guests would also choose to stay outside up to 10pm or much later. Our staff will then remind you about plugging your devices when the generator set is opened.
We have a primary and a secondary generator. Each can just run at 5 hours straight, so the backup is turned on only after the primary runs out. Generators are then active up to 6am, or depending on what time they started. If you want to use the generator before 8pm or after 6am, it will cost 200 pesos per hour with rest after 5 hours.

21. Can we still have bohemian setup in the garden as shown in the photos when it is raining?

When it is raining, we can have the bohemian setup in spaces with roofs such as in the tree hut, glamping tents, or in the villas.

22. Can we just rent the glamping tents?

No. We offer our Villas 1 and 2 for booking. Glamping tent is just part of our amenities and can be used and experienced by the guests for free when they book either villa.

23. Can we pitch our tent in the island?

We allow pitching of tents for free for our guests with confirmed booking in either of the villas.

24. Can we reschedule when the weather is unfavorable on the date of our stay?

We can reschedule based on the availability of the preferred new date.

25. Can we refund our payment or reservation or rebook if we cannot come on the booking date?

If necessary, we recommend you to reschedule your booking at the earliest time possible, as we only have 2 villas that we exclusively rent to our guests. However, if you have emergency purposes backed with proof, reservation and payment may be forfeited if it is not possible to reschedule.

26. Can we pay our balance through debit or credit card on the island?

We don’t have debit or credit card terminal on the island. We prefer the accommodation payment to be sent or deposited via BDO, BPI, Paypal, Gcash or Paymaya payment. For food, drinks, massage and boat fees, you can settle them with cash at Paradis.

The nearest cash machine/ATM is at Pagsanjan town proper, there is no ATM at Cavinti.
