Discover the delightful village of Marseillan with its meandering lanes and fascinating architecture while staying at “Les Jasmins”. Situated a stone’s throw from the “Etang de Thau” and the famous Canal du Midi, our 200-year-old Vigneronne, an old winemaker’s house, has been fully renovated to a high standard in 2017 where guests can experience a true taste of life in an old French village.

Die Unterkunft
Ideally situated in the heart of this historic village, our three-storey house, previously a wine making house has been tastefully renovated. The B&B room is located on the middle floor of the house.
The Afternoon Sun Room
This room with its en-suite bathroom is located at the front of the house. It has two small balconies and a very sunny aspect most of the day. The bedroom is comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated. The bathroom is spacious, light and airy.
Breakfast is served in our open plan room on the top floor or on the roof terrace. We offer a continental style breakfast with mostly organic and artisan made products including baguettes, jam, pain au chocolat/croissants, a choice of breakfast cereals, a platter of cold cuts and cheese plus seasonal fresh fruit. Tea & Coffee and other beverages.

Zugang für Gäste
Guest have access to the open plan living space and the roof terrace.

Weitere wichtige Hinweise
Like most streets in the old village, our street is rather narrow so parking can be difficult, however you will be able to unload your luggage without any problem. There are plenty of free public parking nearby. There are two electric vehicle charging points in one of the main car parks.
For all lovers of everything French, I also organise linguistic and culinary holidays including cooking workshops, a combination of improving your language skills while discovering and enjoying local food and wines. If this is something that may interest you, please get in touch with me.

Lage

Adresse
7 Rue Balard, 34340 Marseillan, France

Marseillan, Occitanie, Frankreich

Marseillan is a typical Mediterranean village with a maze of narrow streets with authentic architecture dating back to the 12th Century. Next to the church is a traditional covered market hall which has markets twice a week. There are also many individual shops such as bakeries, butcher, greengrocers, delicatessen, oyster and mussel stalls, pharmacies, newsagents, cafés and restaurants. The beautiful port of Marseillan is a cultural heritage site with a genuine village hub with lovely bars and restaurants that serve the famous oysters and mussels and other shellfish, seafood and local produce, plus, of course, the local wines.
Caves
There are two caves in the village. Richemer, the local cave cooperative and Domaine La Madeleine St Jean. There are also numerous vineyards in the surrounding area including in Pinet, home of the increasingly popular Picpoul de Pinet.
