Nancy was a gracious host. The room was very nice, and we were impressed by the value of the accommodations. The breakfast was very tasty. We will definitely stay here again when we come to Louisville.
We had a fabulous time at Aleksander house. Our stay was very short and we would loved to get to know Nancy more. She is the sweetest lady and a great hostess. The house is beautiful and the service was great. We would definitely stay here again.
We stayed one night at Aleksander House B & B. The accommodations were all very comfortable, our host was wonderful, and the Belgian waffles for breakfast were great. If we need to stay in Louisville again, we will be glad to stay with Nancy. The entire house was immaculate and very thoughtfully decorated.
I was in town very briefly for business, but wanted to get a sense of Louisville by staying at a BnB rather than an anonymous hotel. Aleksander House was perfect. It's a beautiful inn, and Nancy was very thoughtful. The bed was super comfortable, and the room was quiet but full of character and charm. A great place to stay! Plus it's close to the university campus.
Our host was so very gracious. After a quick run-though and a breakfast time was decided, we were greeted by our elegant room. The room as well as the entire home was very clean and very well maintained. This historic home was nestled among other stately, pre-1900's homes, known as Old Louisville. The immediate area offered a small corner cafe, just a short walk away. Otherwise, a quick drive down-town or other area restaurants, located in Old Louisville. We had a LOVELY time, in a stunning home with a gracious host.
Beautiful place. I have been thought of as a respectful gentleman my whole life. I have built a career on it. Yet, within 2 minutes of speaking to Nancy, she responded viciously rude to a colloquial term of endearment commonly used in the south. "Thank you, sweetheart" . I know now I am too country for a sophisticated Bnb. My mistake.
I've never responded "viciously" to anything in my life. Sorry Mr Renaud misinterpreted my reaction to his inappropriate manner of calling me sweetheart. I feel terms like honey, sweetheart, and baby are much too personal to use, especially on meeting a mature woman for the first time. He might want to rethink his common use of these terms and consider that he has probably insulted many more women than just me. This has nothing to do with being "country" or "sophisticated" (Educated would have been a better choice).
He might want to look up the word "vicious"
A beautiful house located in old Louisville ... plenty of parking around, and a wonderful breakfast to start the day ... highly recommended for a stay!
