Only five stairs lead into this cozy and well-appointed Victorian-style home’s self contained ground floor apartment, nestled in London’s Old East Village. (The upper story is our Chemist’s Retreat.) Built in 1904, The Chemist’s Home has been lovingly renovated by a local artist and her craftsman husband as an homage to the original owner, an engineer for the Canada Chemical Company. This home blends heritage features and modern comforts, including a fully equipped kitchen that includes a dishwasher, gaze at the stars when in the master bedroom, which aslo has a walk-in closet, making this the perfect choice for long-term stays. The convenient location (on Quebec Street near Lorne Avenue) is walking distance to shops, microbreweries, and vegan dining. It has parking for one car; is on a bus route; and minutes from downtown, hospitals, and the university. Pets may be allowed on a case-by-case basis, and if approved, there will be an additional charge of $25 per pet per day. Email a photo of your pet to firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
