the cabinas in the Center of Pavones are very beautiful and comfortable. Pablo and Louisa make you feel like being a part of the family. it is a place where everybody feels welcome so soon you be a part of the village life. if we ever make it back to Pavones, we will definetly stay there again. Pura vida, mucho gusto!
Pablo and Luisa were great hosts! They made me feel very welcome and made this a wonderful experience! What an Amazing location as well. It's a great experience, and I will be back! If you are going to surf, remember some surf booties, the rocks and pebbles are treacherous.... and they are everywhere!
Carols Cabinas is the way to go! The rooms are cheap and clean. There's always ice water and coffee available which you could easily pay $10-$15 per day if you had to go out and buy. The kitchen is open and a wonderful place to spend time getting to know everyone else. There are at least 10 hammocks available if you feel lazy, or Carol has surf boards to rent for those that are more adventurous. All of the staff were welcoming and friendly and went out of their way to make sure we made the most of our stay. We love you and miss you already! Can't wait to come back again!
It was the largest and nicest room in Costa Rica with nice big windows and lots of fans.. The room had its personal private bathroom. with a garden in it. The bed had good mosquito netting even though there weren't many mosquitoes.. There was good internet service in the room and a large community kitchen where you could cook your own meals. The music was good. There were hammocks all around and easy laid back living. The beach was close and so was a lovely river. The garden had a lot of fruit and I ate fresh papaya off the tree and fried bananas. There are flowers butterflies birds and wild giant parrots (macaws) in the garden. I went fishing, caught fish and cooked then up with potatoes on the barbecue in the jungle setting garden. I would highly recommend Pavones and Carols Cabinas.
Hi Im from New Zealand and have cabanas in Pavones. I started the cabinas in 1998. when I first came to Pavones I new it was the place I had dreamed of all my life. We are lucky to still be an unspoilt remote place with no McDonalds or commercialism.
