First, have a great time and enjoy Vancouver! Please as you do so, respect our home and other guests.
-We ask that you keep reasonably quiet after 10 PM on weekdays so that everyone in the house can get their rest :) During the day we also ask that you keep your music, voice, etc to normal noise levels so as not to disturb others.
-The cleaning fee is for us to clean up after you leave and wash the linens, but during your stay you are responsible to keep your space tidy. If you have a longer stay, you will need to wash your linens - we have a washing machine for you to do this, but you will need to buy soap. We also appreciate if you do not leave a big mess for us to clean up when you leave.
-We recycle nearly everything, and we can show you where the recycling space is - we have separate bins for paper, hard plastics, cans and glass, soft plastics, tin foil and styrofoam. Please use these bins!
- Please clean up after yourself when you use the kitchen and cook. Wash your dishes or put them in the dishwasher immediately and wipe down the table and counter tops so that our family and the other guests can have a clean place to cook and eat our own meals
We had a great time in Vancouver and enjoyed our stay in this house. Andrea's father welcomed us and he was very friendly. The facilities were good and also the public transport is easy to go downtown.
This was a lovely place to stay. Very easy to find, and in a sweet neighborhood close to public transportation. The place was clean and tidy, and our room was cozy. There is only one bathroom in the place, but it was not a problem. We were welcomed and shown the ropes with the place and given some tips about getting around the city. Very useful! We had a lovely time and will recommend using this place.
Even though I didn't have the chance to meet Andrea in person (for she was away), her family did a great job accommodating me for full three weeks. Very kind and communicative people.
The house is cosy, has all the essentials one might need, and located near the one of the best areas in Vancouver. Even though the room I was staying was fairly modest, and there was only a single bathroom in the house, I had little trouble while there. In my opinion the price was perfectly reasonable.
My girlfriend & me, had to find a place on our arrival in Vancouver for a week: Finally, we found more than a simple bedroom to rent. We found a really warm welcoming and a cosy pleasant room! :)
The room is clear, clean and big enough for both of us ( we was 2 with 2 big luggages :p). Neighborhood is really quiet and we had a real moutainview (pretty cool in the morning at wake up time). There a easy way to downtown by ride the bus (do it easely everyday until 23pm without any problem). There are some good restaurants around. The house is a block away all necessaries: bus lines,a 7-Eleven two blocks away, where buying some food or toiletries.
a shelve let free in the fridge, very convenient.
We missed Andrea because she had been on a trip on America ( have a great time there!!!) but her parents, Paula and Bob, are so hearty and welcoming. Share the homestayed on this condition was a really great pleasure. We felt @home.
Thanks for all the kindness. @place to be.
Merci pour la gentillesse. Un endroit à recommander
I enjoyed staying @ Andrea's home. She was hospitable & her home was quiet & comfortable. The neighbourhood includes Commercial Drive & is a quick bus ride to downtown & the West end of Vancouver.
Andrea was very accommodating and helpful during our stay. My fiancé and I got in quite late (3am) and were able to let ourselves into her home (which we arranged ahead of time) upon arrival. Our private room was cosy and comfortable and it was wonderful to wake up to the sounds of a family quietly going about their day around us.
We stayed four weeks at Andrea's house. Andrea and the kids were very friendly and Andrea gave us much information about every question we had. She even gave us the bigger room although we booked the smaller one. There was enough place for two with two beds, desks and a seperate closet.
The house has very thin walls and the floor squeaks a little bit, so it's a bit loud sometimes.
All in all we really enjoyed our stay at Andrea's house and the price was very good!

I will be traveling from mid September 2014 until late spring 2015. During this time, my mom, Paula, and her husband, Bob, will be your lovely airbnb hosts!
