Ambiance:
The house is beautifully bright, sunny & charming. The positive energy & warm karma is quite magical. Although but an idle object, this house seemingly has a soul.
Locals believe it to be so as a result of its many years in service to the community in need, ie, WW I & II.

Hattiesburg is indeed a hub, ie, Trains. The haunting clackity-clack sounds & forlorn whistles of the big trains can oftentime be heard thru-out the day till midnight. Frankly this owner’s favorite thing about living downtown is the sounds & presence of these powerful trains & nostalgic nuances of another era when trains ruled.

Lage

Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Vereinigte Staaten

The post Civil War, historic downtown & residential neighborhood is a most enchanting place, reflecting the proud restoration of a small, war-torn, railroad crossing community & nation at-large. Hattiesburg grew into a bustling city following the most infamous war of our country.

The residential neighborhood has homes dating from Circa 1870 thru mid-century. The big 1800’s mansions are the carpetbaggers legacy. The 1900’s turn-of-century was phase two. Then every ten to twenty years or so another phase would appear, ie, 20’s, 30’s, 40’s & 50’s. ~ till the lots were all gone.
At my first neighborhood gathering I was informed my 1901 house was a “New” house❓Confused... it was quickly explained an old house was 1800’s & then there was the teens, 20’s, 30’s, etc.
