This two bedroomed, well equipped cottage is located within the grounds of the historic Kenegie Manor. It is set in a quiet location, on a small holiday park, surrounded by green spaces.
The reverse living maximises the views across Mounts Bay to Penzance.

Die Unterkunft
We have used the cottage as a holiday home for several years and as such it is well equipped. It is set within landscaped grounds, surrounded by similar properties on a small holiday park and benefits from partial sea views, that depend somewhat on the season (better in winter).
The house has a defined outside seating area and furniture for guests to use.
Accommodation consists of an entrance lobby that leads to two bedrooms, one with twin beds and one with a double bed and also a shower room. Stairs lead up to an open plan living/ kitchen area. This is a light and airy room with triple aspects and views across Mounts Bay and of St Michael's Mount at Marazion.
There is a full size oven, microwave, fridge (but no freezer), kettle and toaster available for use.

Rental is for the entire property There is a small children's park, two tennis courts and pitch and putt in the vicinity all free to use.
There is an allocated parking space for one car with additional parking available a short distance away.
Also located within the grounds is a leisure complex which contains a swimming pool, sauna and hot tub (fees payable locally), a coffee bar and a licensed bar which serves food and has weekly activities. The leisure complex is seasonal and opens from Easter through until the end of October.p Laundry facilities are in separate, communal building; washing machines and tumble driers are coin operated.
Please note rental is for the property, guests are welcome to use the on site facilities but these may incur additional charges. Some facilities may not be available due to Covid restrictions - this is beyond my control.

IMPORTANT: Because of the ongoing pandemic I will be operating slightly differently after reopening. I will be allowing longer for cleaning to allow for a deep clean and also using hospital grade disinfectant to clean all surfaces and handles.
I will be asking guests to strip beds and place used linen and towels in the laundry baskets/ sacks provided. Finally, I am leaving gaps of at least 24 hours between each booking to thoroughly ventilate the space.
These considerations may change but will be guided by the latest Government advice.
I provide breakfast essentials but because you are booking the entire premises breakfast is a DIY affair. Usually I use locally sourced items but at the moment I am.using sealed produce.
There are many excellent places locally to eat. These vary from cheap eats to fine dining experiences. Please ask for recommendations - especially if it is for a special occasion. Popular places can get booked up quickly and so it is always best to make a reservation.
WiFi is provided by an external provider. It is a pay as you go system (fees payable dependent on usage).

The property sits between Penzance and St Ives. Both towns are well worth a visit. Penzance (2 miles away) is steeped in history and has a number of independent retailers. St Ives is approximately 4 miles away and is particularly picturesque - you can easily while away a few hours, wandering its narrow streets, browsing a range of shops and boutiques. The Tate St Ives overlooks Porthmeor beach and often hosts different events.
Marazion and St Michael's Mount can be seen from the cottage and are only a short drive away. The Godolphin Hotel, has a stunning terrace - just the place to have a cocktail and watch the sun set.
Falmouth, Truro, the Eden Project, the Lizard and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are slightly further afield but still well within reach for days out. The cottage is well situated for guests wanting to visit the reknowned, Minnack Theatre; again booking is advisable.
The cottage is a short distance from the SW coastal path and for keen walkers there are a number of walks from the property, including St Michael's Way.
Penzance has several supermarkets, petrol filling stations and a host of bakeries, for those all important pasties.
