Everyone loves my Bali home. It will charm you with its Asian flair and European comfort, with its sun balcony overlooking a long tropical pool, its elegant double bedroom and lovely sitting room. It is quietly but centrally situated, near the beach.
A real escape from a busy life, this place combines the services of a hotel, such as 24 hour security and reception, a lovely 22 m pool, restaurants and bars nearby, with the total privacy and convenience of your own home. Forming part of a complex of similar houses built on two floors around the pool, it is individually furnished and has TV, a DVD player, free Wi Fi. Get creative in the well-equipped kitchen, or simply look forward to going for an interesting meal out. It's all yours, a wonderful pad for two people who like to share a most comfortable 2x2m bed, and who also like the space of living on two floors. No children, no babies.

The house with its sun balcony is for you alone, the 22m lap pool is shared with the other houses. There is a book and DVD library at reception, and feel free to read my books you'll find in the house, but please finish reading them before you leave :-)

I am not in Sanur at the moment. However, I have a driver, Ketut, who will gladly pick you up from the airport for a regular fee and take you to the house if you so wish, and who will be available in case of any problem. Otherwise the staff at reception and around the place are very helpful and friendly. Most importantly, there is Kadek, my 'Pembantu' (=helper in the house), who will come 2X3 hours (usually Monday afternoon and Thursday afternoon) to clean, wash up, change sheets (usually once a week) and towels, and generally keep an eye on things domestic.

There are many things to see and do in Bali. A visit to Nicktours or an other Travel Agent will give you a good idea. Take your time and read through all the leaflets or take advice. Be aware that many unlicensed 'tour guides' might try to charge too much, on the other hand, competition is fierce, so you might find real bargains. Guests may want to ask where and when the next big cremation ceremony takes place, or how to see the special dances, or to take a tour around the island, or to the mountains. There are beautiful villages to see, just driving through and looking out is wonderful. Shopping is another big thing in Bali, lots of cheap and cheerful clothes to be found, and endless illegal copies of normally expensive items. One has to make up one's own mind whether one wants to risk a very stiff fine on entering one's home country or not. Personally, coming from England, I do not!
Please register at the reception on arrival, or the following day.
For maximum 2 people, adults, please.
This is a much loved home with nice furnishings, books and other dear objects, and I am sure anyone staying at my house will respect it and treat it kindly and with consideration.
If anything breaks or gets damaged, please let Kadek, the cleaning lady know, or if you can replace it locally, please do so.
There is an information sheet in the house for guests. Please read it.
Noise and music must be kept so as not to disturb others nearby.
Washing is not allowed to be hung out on front balconies, please use the stand inside the bedroom or put it outside on the back terrace.
Please do not use the landline telephone, or if you do, pay at reception. Mobile calls tend to be much cheaper.
No smoking inside the house.
No glass near pool.
If guests are pleased with Kadek's help, she would be very happy if you showed your appreciation by giving her a nice tip, according to length of your stay :-).
