Imagine waking to scent of freshly baked cinnamon rolls served with Starbucks coffee. Leaving your king bed, dressed with pure cotton sheets is a challenge. But you rise to it. In the privacy of your quiet Alaskan home, a fully stocked kitchen has your favorite breakfast items. A huge Roku TV provides news, movies or music. You decide. A long day of Alaskan adventures awaits; whale watching, salmon fishing, sea-kayaking, helicopters, world class hiking, museums. Champagne at check-in - WELCOME!

Die Unterkunft
Our bedrooms: its (almost) all about the beds. The larger bedroom has a new king size bed, with 100% cotton sheets (except for a brushed microfiber set). We have choices for pillows, firm, soft, medium. You choose. Oversize closets provide space for clothing. The second bedroom has a plush new king bed, which can separate into 2 twins. An 18" high quality queen air mattress is available. With the couch, the Inn can sleep 7. They must be very friendly and willing to share one bathroom :)

Our breakfast: it's also about the breakfast. The Quilted Inn is a true bed AND breakfast, we do not stint on morning options for you to prepare as you wish. Before check-in, we will inquire your breakfast desires. When you arrive, your favorite items will be waiting for you. After enjoying steaming rich coffee, maybe on the deck facing the glacier, you'll find your choices. Pancakes, sausage, fresh fruit, oatmeal, cold cereal, eggs/bacon, toast. If desired, you'll receive a pan of homemade cinnamon rolls or a smoked salmon quiche (we only cook with wild Alaskan salmon). Let us know what you like, we'll do our best to accommodate you & your family.

Our guests appreciate how clean the Quilted Inn is when they walk in. Imagine, after traveling all day, perhaps multiple airports and TSA checks, you're exhausted. Maybe a bit nervous about choosing accommodations from on-line. Entering the Quilted Inn (late check-ins are welcome, we understand - Juneau is a long ways away) you can drop your bags and sigh with relief. Helen's handmade quilts decorate every room - which are all meticulously cleaned. The floors are immaculate, bathroom surfaces disinfected. Soft music is playing, your breakfast waits for you in the morning. We offer a basket of amenities like toothbrush, shampoo, razor or other easily forgotten items.

As frequent travelers ourselves, we created the bnb we would love to stay in.

The roomy bathroom has a tub made for a soothing bath (bubbles provided) as well as a shower with grab rails. A shower seat is available, if desired. We have an endless assortment of pure cotton towels.

The Quilted Inn is child safe, electrical outlets are protected. Cleaning supplies are kept out of reach of little ones, two fire extinguishers are on site. Hosts have installed smoke detectors and carbon monoxide alerts for your protection.

This is our third year of providing a "home away from home" to travelers. Our best consultants are our guests. Each guest is given the opportunity to tell us how their stay has been. Suggestions from guests for improvements include a wider variety of cooking pans and utensils, more sharp knives, board games and puzzles, installing shower grab bars. We love to say YES! and take pride in our guests comfort.

As the former owner of The Cinnamon Inn, your host is experienced in helping Alaskan visitors find adventure and beauty, then have a peaceful nights sleep in brand new beds, after catching up on the news with an over sized Roku television. Netflix and Amazon Prime are available, with more choices to come.

We regret the inconvenience, but due to allergies we cannot accept pets.

The fine print: the city of Juneau has a 5% sales tax, with 9% tourism tax. Airbnb now collects this tax with reservation payments. Bnb owners forward this money to the City on a quarterly basis.

Weitere wichtige Hinweise
We opened the Quilted Inn (warmed with Helen's quilts) because we LOVE to host Alaska's visitors. Amenities have been thoughtfully provided. We know that guest suggestions and comments will help us improve The Quilted Inn. A portion of every guest payment is put back into the Inn. We are pleased with our Inn, confident it will only improve from here.
We offer an iron/board, hair dryer for your convenience. If you need an item and can't find it, please let us know. We are here to ensure your trip is pleasant and as stress free as possible.
Your hosts have lived in Juneau for over 30 years, we know what is important to see and experience. We can help you arrange tours, or decide how to use a limited amount of time.
Note: regarding canceled checks due to insufficient funds. Hey, we understand life happens and traveling can cause financial chaos. As Juneau hosts, we are required to collect city tax, usually in the form of a check. Should a check not clear due to insufficient funds, our bank charges us a fee. And we have not succeeded in collecting the tax we have to pay the city every quarter.
For resolution, we will contact Airbnb for assistance in collecting the amount of the bounced check, with an additional charge of $35. Like homeowner’s insurance, we hope to never need this policy. Please feel free to inquire if you need more information.

Mendenhall Valley, Juneau, Alaska

The Quilted Inn is near the airport, close to the famous Juneau wetlands trail (migrating bird habitat); Safeway is a 4-5 block stroll. On a quiet street, children play and ride bikes. During summer months flowers bloom and raised beds grow vegetables. There is a gorgeous view of the mountains from the front, the back yard gets whatever sunshine Juneau is blessed with.
