We had a wonderful stay at the treehouse! Neil was great, he was a wonderful host, very friendly, and very knowledgable about the island. He immediately made us feel at home. The treehouse was very comfortable and a lot of fun. It was well stocked with everything we needed. We loved the outdoor shower and hammock, as well as the loft bed. The treehouse was very secluded but only a few minutes away from great restaurants and many points of interest in the west and south parts of Kauai. We loved our stay!
We stayed 6 nights in the treehouse, good location, close to a couple of restaurants, short drive to Poipu Beach. We were welcomed by Neil when we arrived, he had some good recommendations of places to visit and some great stories to tell. We loved the outside shower en view up in the trees from te bedroom!
This place was exactly what we hoped for it to be and actually exceeded all expectations. The photos do no justice. Secluded enough to feel far away from it all with 2 min access to the highway. Fully-equipped kitchen and the lanai was so beautiful we spent every evening there. This not only saved us a lot of money on going out but sitting amongst the trees enjoying the breeze even became my favorite part of the day. If you are going to Hawaii to soak in some nature and enjoy privacy, this is the place to be.
The Jungle Treehouse was a great spot to call 'home' for the few days we ventured around the south shore of Kauai. Neil was a wonderful host, we were greeted upon our arrival with some very helpful tips and suggestions for our last few days on Kauai. The treehouse was such a unique experience; from relaxing on the hammock and sleeping in the treetops to outdoor showers under the moonlight. Mahalo Neil and Sharon for sharing such a wonderful space!

Staying at Neil & Sharon's treehouse on Kauai was an incredible airbnb experience! Neil is a friendly, helpful, and accommodating host who met us upon arrival and truly made us feel at home during our stay. The house itself is perfect and has everything you need to relax after a long day of exploring the island. Like most of the island, there are roosters around that will make sure you're up early, but when you're on a beautiful island like Kauai you should be up early anyway! It was great to be surrounded by nature- hanging in the hammock, grilling on the porchm and using the outdoor shower were some of highlights of our trip. Will definitely be coming back.
Holy cow! Our first stop in Kauai and we could not have lucked out better!! This tree house is cozy and the outdoor shower was spectacular! My only complaint is I wish we stayed longer!! We will be back! Thank you so much for the perfect getaway and start to our vacation!
The location was wonderfully close to Poipu, despite the slightly scary road going up to it. The shower was fun and our daughter loved the hammock on the porch.

Thirty year resident of Kauai who has built various simple Balinese/Polynesian/ Swiss Family Robinson style timber homes in beautiful island settings.
First came to Kauai in 1980 as part of long world wide surf odyssey - was on his way to Australia, but fell in love with the island, the way of life and spirit of aloha.
Met South African born wife, Sharon, in 2003 on the island. They married on the beach in Poipu in 2005.
Both love the island, love hearing the varied fascinating stories people live, and both love to read and travel!
