Big, old farmhouse in Overlook neighborhood of N. Portland has hardwoods, W&D, great kitchen, wireless Internet, I/2 acre garden, secure bike storage. Walk to the river or the historic Mississippi Arts district, ride your bike or MAX downtown in 20 min. Start the day with home roasted coffee and a Dutch Baby with fresh raspberries and Greek yoghurt. Here for a music or beer event? Mention it to the host, for a special deal. A German Shepard and sweet indoor-outdoor kitty live here, will welcome you, and we are a registered rain garden and backyard habitat. This is a neighborhood that values diversity, with great pubs, cool eateries, the Addidas World Village, New Seasons, ecoroofs, community gardens, food carts, stealth bikers, occasional sightings of Extremo the Clown, Storm Large, and Sam Adams. Since the perfect way to get around is by bike, I always keep extras on hand that you can rent.
Gardeners, musicians, jugglers, coffee roasters, locavores, and community activists are always welcome here-please tell me a little about yourself and the nature of your visit to Portland so I will know if I am a good host for you!
