Our home is situated in Kaikorai Valley with rural views. We have hosted many homestay students and back packers over the years. The cabin has no kitchen but does have a fridge, electric jug, toaster and microwave.
We are motorbike friendly and can find a place to park your bike in the shed. BUT please note our driveway is very steep and even if you drive up there are 11 concrete steps and later 10 wooden steps to the cabin. The rural views, however, make the climb worth it.

Die Unterkunft
"We are a recently retired couple with four adult children, ten grand children. A son and a daughter live close by. In 1990 we spent a year with our young children visiting Asia, the Middle East and Europe. We have lived in Tanzania for nine months and on the Wild Coast in South Africa for a further nineteen months. We were into simplicity long before it was trendy - we have a big vegetable garden with fruit and nut trees. We have hosted many homestay students, mostly from Asia and Europe. We attend our local church so are out on Sunday mornings. Judy was a primary teacher and still does volunteer work at our local school. We are happy to chat over a coffee and give you tips on your stay in Dunedin, or simply let you enjoy your privacy."

Zugang für Gäste
The cabin has its own access so guests can come and go as they choose.

Weitere wichtige Hinweise
There is plenty of (free) parking on the street but you may park at the top of the drive. It is a steep drive and you must keep to the concrete strips. There is limited parking at the top. If you are coming by shuttle and need a hand to get your bag up the drive please txt me and I will come and help. Best to park in front of 94 Hocken St as no one usually parks here. Please note that google streetview shows the neighbours house. You need to go up the long driveway to access our place.
The hot water cylinder is very small so time for one 7 minute shower or two quick ones. The water reheats in 90 minutes.

Valley View Cabin in near the end of a cul-de-sac in a very quiet part of Dunedin. Although we are only three kilometers from the centre of town we have lovely rural views.
