  • Our family had a very quiet and pleasant stay here. Even on the night when we shared with another couple, there was plenty of space (and soundproofing!) for the kids to be up early without having to worry about disturbing anyone. It's a good sign when the only complaint I can think of is that we didn't really care for the provided granola and almond-yogurt! With lots of refrigerator and cabinet space to use, that was easily enough fixed.

  • My three friends and I all stayed in this up stairs room and had a wonderful time. Lots of space to spread out, the bathroom was well stocked with soaps, shampoos, and tp, and the entire house was kept very clean. We were able to cook in the kitchen and we found the hiking guide books very helpful. And the outdoor garden with the living wall was super charming!

  • It was a pleasure to stay at Danielle's place. It is extremely clean, people are very helpful and the accommodation is very spacious!
The location is pretty close to downtown, which can be reached by foot. The place is also very family-friendly. The neighborhood is quiet and there is no noise coming from the street. Also toys are provided to keep the little ones happy as well as a lot of guides and extra information to get the most out of your stay! I would always use it again!
Thank you very much Danielle! :D

  • I had a lovely stay here. The space is big, clean, bright, and well stocked with organic bathroom products. It is about a 15-20 minute walk to the center of town.

  • Beautiful home & great location! I was concerned about sharing a room in a house would be uncomfortable but Danielle's home is very quiet & privacy is fine. We met an adorable couple in the garden at breakfast. Breakfast is light, just yogurt & fruit. Overall great experience and I will stay here again.

  • I stayed at the Organic Acorn with my 3 friends from school, and we had a wonderful stay! I communicated with Kat regarding the booking of my stay, and she was quick to respond and extremely positive. Brandi checked us in and was very gracious and hospitable.
The house was very private with total access to the kitchen, living area, and patio, which was very nice. The room was perfect for the 4 of us and super comfortable! The water in the shower is filtered! Super cool!
There were also 2 other airbnb guests staying downstairs, and everyone had their own comfortable space. We even ended up having dinner with one of the guests, which was very cool.

I am an eco-friendly person, myself, so staying here really made me feel at home.
I think that all of my friends had an awesome time! They had never stayed at a bed n breakfast before, and they said that it was way better than staying at a hotel.
    Success! Thanks Organic Acorn!

  • The home was in a quiet neighborhood about a 15 minute drive from UC Santa Barbara. Danielle was super responsive during our stay. When we informed her we would arrive late she got us instructions to access the house on our own for a late arrival. My teenage daughter and I enjoyed the super healthy gluten free granola, non dairy yoghurt and fruit..

  • This is a very well run home, exquisite in its cleanliness, and immaculate in the attention to detail. I found myself just standing around on the heated floors for a long time, simply enjoying the sensation. Elizabeth was very sweet and kind, and all our needs we're addressed. Loved the place, would love to live there, would recommend it, and will stay again.

Danielle, Elizabeth, and Brandi are pictured. We all look forward to helping your stay here be organized, pleasant and easy. Welcome to Santa Barbara! :) Brandi is currently our lead cleaner and check in team-member. She has a house cleaning business and is also a busy mom. She also has goals to complete a second Associate Arts of Degree, this one at Santa Barbara City College. Elizabeth stayed with us for a number of weeks in Fall 2012 and loved the house and team so much that she joined us. She is an avid yogi, rock climber, gardener, and artist (Installation, Sculpture, Performance, Video). Elizabeth is a Lecturer of Art for the College of Creative Studios and Art Department at UCSB as well as Adjunct Faculty for SBCC's Art Department. Danielle Reid lived full time at the house a few years back and now visits Santa Barbara weekly. She helps clean for Airbnb guests and sometimes does check ins too. Danielle is often in LA for work in the entertainment industry. She is a San Francisco State University graduate. Kat is handling reservation email communications and coordinates cleaning and repairwork. Kat lived in Santa Barbara for more than 12 years and has completed two hotel management courses at Santa Barbara City College. She's traveled extensively - to Europe many times (especially Germany, England, Italy and Spain) and to locales such as Australia, New Zealand, Costa Rica, Mexico, Washington, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Florida, Colorado, Texas, Arizona and Hawaii. She previously lived at the house for about three years. Ricardo handles some of the more difficult house repairs and some yardwork. Angelika and Elizabeth also help with repairs. We're all into a healthy lifestyle in various ways with diet (vegetarian, vegan raw food enthusiast, etc. among us), hobbies (yoga, gardening, hiking, herbal medicine - no drugs or pot though don't worry), pursuing our professional goals (dramatic movie actress, yoga teacher, larger bed and breakfast manager, etc.), and have an active positive spiritual focus as well. We are a friendly and responsible group and enjoy sharing our clean eco-friendly home with you. We look forward to helping to make your stay wonderful! :)
