Our place is close to Te Anau (8.8Km) the gateway to Fiordland National Park and the Te Wahipounamu World Heritage Area. It is ideal for couples, solo adventurers, and families with children whom we are happy to accommodate. It was once part of the historic Lynwood Station.

Die Unterkunft
The property is 10 acres with a large area in garden, with wonderful flowers, an orchard and area planted in native plants, as well as some specimen trees and some exotics. There are some roosters and hens as well as plenty of birds.

The property is just 9 km from Lake Te Anau which is the gateway to the Fiordland National park and the beautiful lake Manapouri as well as Milford Sound. It is close to the start of the Keplar track and not too distant to the other great walks, the Miford and Routeburn tracks. You will have a large room with king size bed with your own ensuite and facilities to make tea and coffee.

Zugang für Gäste
You will be able to have access to your own room which has an area with a fridge along with facilities to make tea and coffee next to the ensuite. You can also access patios and sun porches along with our library room. You are welcome to wander around the garden. You can potentially have access to the kitchen, on arrangement (and also the dining room). Of course you will not be able to access our own bedroom and any other bedrooms that are occupied by family, friends or heplers who are providing work in exchange for board.

Weitere wichtige Hinweise
As the garden is large and there is much to do we may have volunteers staying. They will have a separate bathroom and be in other bedrooms in the house. We have 5 other bedrooms apart from our guest bedroom. You're likely to meet them if we have them staying. Despite this, the house is large and the guest area quite private.

We are a retired lawyer and retired physiotherapist who split our time between Queenstown and Te Anau. Prior to Richard’s health scare, we were keen trampers and mountain bikers, and have detailed knowledge of the region should you need any tips. We now spend our time tending to our large garden, an unruly flock of chickens, ragdoll cat Leila and pet sheep Clara. We are both avid readers and have a diverse selection of books, for those times when the Fiordland weather keeps us inside. We enjoy meeting people from around the world and welcoming them to our home. We have enjoyed many a lively conversation with our guests over a glass of wine and a shared meal. We look forward to meeting you.
