ESCAPE THE CITY AND IMMERSE YOURSELF IN THE SIMPLE PLEASURES OF THIS OCEANFRONT CABIN WITH CHARACTER.
Lots of charm in this sweet cozy cabin nestled between the woods and the water. Get reconnected with nature, exploring the miles of soft sand stone shoreline and the tide pools or walking the country roads.
Fall asleep to the sound of the ocean, and wake up to the sunrise over the straight of Georgia, with Mount Baker Views. Whether it’s reading a book by the fire, soaking up the sun or enjoying a game of bacci ball on the huge lawn, the ocean is right there. Napping in the hammock is also a favorite past time.
The cabin's interior has lovingly evolved over time, with an eclectic mix ensuring a mood of an era gone by. There's an open floor plan for living, dining and cooking. The master bedroom (queen) has double doors to a small deck as well as a lovely window seat. The loft sleeps 2-4, perfect for guests or kids, and there's a double pull-out sofa in the living room. The Cabin can sleep 8 (but more comfortably, 2-4).
A large oceanfront deck spans the width of the cabin. Dine outdoors on a large picnic table logged from the property that seats 12. Indoor dining seats 4-6.

We loved this cozy cabin, which was just enough space for our family of four. Everything was finished very nicely and we had everything we needed. We appreciated how this cabin was nestled in the forest next to the water, keeping lots of habitat for wildlife around it. We immensely enjoyed the variety of birds and other wildlife around the cabin and on the water. We look forward to coming back!
it's a spot like this which truly sets the tone for a relaxing + cozy weekend away from the city. this sweet little cabin is located right on the rock beach-making for gorgeous views (and wildlife) from morning till night. although a very large island, you are close to the best beach at montague harbour. would stay here again for sure!
We had an nice experience staying at the shoreline getaway. It is in a great location right on the beach and has a lovely deck and grassy area nearby. The cabin itself is a mix of modern and dated elements—the posted pictures are very flattering to the old furniture. It is what I would call a rustic experience, but you can't beat the scenery!
Our one complaint is that it was a bit cold all the time. There is no heating in the main room except for the fire (there was a baseboard but there didn't seem to be anywhere to turn it on), and there wasn't any kindling or newspaper provided to light the fire. So - bring firestarter or something like that.
We had an excellent stay at Two Akers over Valentine's Day weekend. The cabin was as advertised, clean and cozy and Joel provided great instructions to help us get settled in and comfortable.
We look forward to returning in the summer time for some more relaxing!
What a perfect long weekend winter getaway! My hubby and I were accompanied by our 2 friends and 2 dogs and the cabin was perfect for us. We made very good use of the fireplace and kitchen. Loved being able to hear the ocean and rain from any place in the house - you can leave the windows wide open while the fireplace is on. Good ventilation throughout the home, love the ceiling fan. Great spacious bathroom with window, heater, tub, plenty of towels, and good lighting. Well stocked kitchen although make sure you bring cooking oil, salt and pepper etc if you're planning to cook. Nice big yard and pathway down to the water. We loved being there this time of year and look forward to returning in summer!
This place is so adorable. The cabin is just how it is described in the ad - modern amenities with a rustic charm. My friends and I had so much fun on our girls getaway. We found we had everything we needed to be comfortable (cookware, fresh towels, extra blankets, cozy fireplace), and the host had a few special touches that made us truly feel at home (locally made soap in the washroom, heat was on when we arrived).
The property is also amazing and it really felt like we were far from civilization. The beach is gorgeous. As adults, we enjoyed exploring the tidal pools - it would certainly be heaven for kids! There was also lots to explore on other parts of the island. Galiano Islanders were so friendly! We have fallen in love with the cabin and the island hope to return someday!
