Stay here and you'll find everything you need to feel at home in wonderful, exciting SanFrancisco!
You'll be staying in one of SF's quaint Victorians and be able to share the living room, kitchen, laundry, bathrooms and garden with three others.

Die Unterkunft
Add some adventure to your stay in SanFrancisco by hiding away in this sweet little room under the eaves of a spacious, attractive Edwardian Era Flat just one block from Alamo Square Park and it's amazing views (including The Painted Ladies)
The room may be small (10x6ft/3x2.4m) but it is convenient, cozy, clean, inviting and it has a very comfortable, good mattress on the twin bed.
There is also a desk with chair, shelves and rods to store clothing, etc., nice carpeting and a window with an inner, i.e.light well, view. There are plenty of lights, wireless, huge selection of books and a TV in the livng room.
This is one of those wonderful, old three flat buildings that were built to house the merchant families of SanFrancisco. They are so conveniently planned that it is possible to house several people with success. Three of us live in this house (four with you). Two are young women in their 20s who are at work during the weekdays and very busy with everything else the rest of the time. I am an active grand mere who works from home. We all love San Francisco and can give you plenty of information about how to get around and what to do.
There is a comfortable living room for you to share with us, as well as a fully equipped kitchen with pantry. You may store and prepare food there if you like. There is also a laundry with a washer and dryer that you may use.
Typical of this era, the bathroom (tub with shower and sink) is separate from the two w c's. One of those is in the laundry area and adjacent to the laundry tub. Thus, it is possible for 4 people to exist and get ready for whatever without too much inconvenience.
In case you bring or rent a bicycle there is room to store it in the garage. But, sorry, there is no room for a car. Personally, I think if you can avoid having a car in the city you would be wise. There are so many other transportation options and parking is often very troublesome.....although, not impossible.
Ours is a most historic/hip and convenient neighborhood. Right at the corner of McAllister and Divisadero Bus Lines 5 and 24 cross, allowing travel in all four directions. There are 4 other bus lines within short walking distance. Thus you can get wherever you want to go very easily. There is a free app called Smart Ride which tells you when all of those buses come and shows maps of where they go....great one for getting around the city.
Besides all of the transportation out, Divisadero offers most of the services you could need plus grocery stores, coffee shops, (Oasis Cafe right at the corner with the best coffee in the neighborhood!) deli's, restaurants, clubs, intriguing shops.......young people love it.......the rest of us do, too.

Zugang für Gäste
Guests have access to, of course, the bathrooms, the kitchen, pantry, laundry, back steps, garden, and living room. In other words, all but the other's bedrooms.

Weitere wichtige Hinweise
Beautiful Golden Gate Park with all of its many wonders is within walking distance or more quickly accessible by Bus 5 Fulton which will also take you down to the ocean for a walk on the beach. STR-0000427

I LOVE my neighborhood. First of all, Alamo Square Park is just a block+ away. It is a very historic park and most of you will recognize it for the views surrounding it. It is a beautiful place to hang out and look at the scenery and includes a popular dog park. The houses in my neighborhood are so interesting. Many were built before the big earthquake and are lovely Victorians. Since then, many other interesting homes of later origin were built. Divisadero, one of the earliest routes of the Spanish, is now an 'entertainment corridor' according to neighborhood planners. It is certainly a destination place for young people and affords all of us plenty of grocery stores, coffee shops, restaurants, clubs, cleaners, et al....most of what you need to keep supplied and entertained.

I have been a happy resident of San Francisco since 1994, living right here on McAllister St where I arrived after a former life-time married to a fine man, raising a family of three sons. I came for a visit and decided to stay......San Francisco does that to you. I spent my early years here touring the city on inline skates, yes, hills and flat....great adventures, great friends, did the Friday Night Skate for years. My work and rental property take my time and the fact that I now have 5 dear grandchildren living around the country means I travel rather often. Now I walk everywhere with Muni as a backup. SF is a great place to walk, you are never at a loss to find interesting places, beautiful buildings and lovely parks, beaches, trails, whatever your heart desires. Good way to keep healthy, too, with yoga and gardening added for balance. I have been renting rooms in my place since 1997 when I was able to purchase it. I have had hundreds of people stay since then, many from other countries. I have furnished rooms and cater to students, interns, people new to the city, beginning jobs.....a good place to get a start and figure out where you want to stay more permanently. I try to make it a home away from home for them. For me it is like having a large, ever changing family. Because of the changing politics throughout the world, much of which is troubling, as angry people take over governments and spread upset and anger about, I think it is valuable to have platforms such as Airbnb bringing people together from everywhere. The chance to meet, talk, share a meal, converse with a group of people from different countries has to be good for our world. I have a large map of the world in the living room and each guest puts a pin in the country from which they come. It is thrilling to see the map fill and know that we have had good times with friends from all of those places!

Während deines Aufenthaltes
Unless I am traveling I am often at home. I have my workroom here and also a garden. I love to meet and get to know the people who come here. But, if you need privacy, you certainly can have that.
