I loved this little studio, in the quaint neighborhood of Montmartre. You can hear the bells of the Sacré Coeur, which is a 5 minute walk away. I absolutely loved the amount of light that came into the space through the huge windows. Michael was a great host too, anything I needed--restaurant recommendations, more time to move my stuff out, he was there for me! I would absolutely stay here above any other place in Paris, and I was truly sad to leave. The couch and the bed are a bonus--most studios don't manage to fit that much. Also the bathroom is spacious, updated, and the washing machine is a huge perk.

I spent a month in Studio 7 and my experience was extremely positive. I didn't get to meet Michael in person, but he was in communication throughout the entire period before my trip. And once I arrived, he made sure that I had all of the info that I'd need to get around (maps, locations of nearby shops, directions to studio, etc). Philippe was the one who checked me in on my first day, and he was very helpful and friendly! The neighborhood is amazing and I would most certainly stay in this part of the 18th arrondissement again. There are some great bakeries just up the street (I practically lived off of baguettes during my time there). Plus two metro lines are located very close by (you can walk to line 12 in under 10 minutes and line 4 in under 5 minutes). There's also a Carrefour and a pharmacy right around the corner for your grocery and toiletry needs. I loved coming back to the apartment after a long day of exploring Paris. The bed is comfortable, the shower works great, and the light that comes in through the windows is wonderful during the day. Plus there's a great view of the building across the courtyard (pretty Parisian architecture). The building itself also felt very safe. You have to go through two sets of locked doors just to get inside. Plus, there are a lot of cafes located between the apartment and line 12, so even when I'd come back at night, there'd always be plenty of people walking around on the street. I definitely want to stay at Studio 7 again the next time that I'm in Paris!

This was our second time to stay in the studio. Michael makes it very easy to find the location with his clear, concise directions on how to get the key, how to locate the studio etc. The studio has everything one would need. There is a very small kitchen area with a hot plate, coffee maker, small refrigerator etc. This is nice to have if you do not want to eat every single meal in a restaurant. There is info on the local area (grocery store, bakery, cafes...etc.) Access to the metro is nearby as well. I believe the fact that we have chosen to stay in this location for a 2nd time speaks for itself. This time we even met Michael for coffee. Great place and great host.

We have just returned home from a lovely trip to France. Our little "home away from home" while we were in Paris was perfect. Michael gave us explicit instructions on how to pick up the key and also how to find the studio. This was great as we were in an area in which we were not familiar. It rained quite a bit while we were there. We found an umbrella in the studio so we did not have to purchase one. A very nice touch. We were also able to prepare a few meals in the small kitchenette area. It is nice to not have to eat every meal in a restaurant Our group consisted a myself, my daughter and her friend. The studio was good for three females but might be crowded (but certainly acceptable) for a group of four. When you are a tourist you spend very little time in your lodging anyway. Close proximity to metro was nice too. I would definitely recommend the studio to future guests and would love to stay again on another trip to Paris.

First time using Airbnb and it could not have been better! I very much appreciated Michael’s prompt responses from the initial communiqué to the night before when Philippe called to check in with us and offered to call a cab for the airport if needed. A few days prior to departing from Paris, Michael sent maps and clear instructions on how to get the keys and into the apartment, which made this process anxiety free for me. My daughter and I spent 8 nights in the apartment and it is just as described and more. Both my daughter Ariel and I appreciated the little things that perhaps go unnoticed such as the red box in the nightstand, which contains manuals to some of the appliances (microwave, washer, etc.), city maps, etc. It rained several days while we were there and though we were prepared, we ended up losing our umbrella towards the end of our stay, but even that, we found an umbrella in the apartment and that saved us from having to buy one. Other items that came in handy were the blow dryer, shopping bags, dish soap and new sponges, and a kitchenette with all the essential items. The apartment was clean, good water pressure and most importantly, a very nice, firm, and comfortable bed. It is all about location, location, location! We liked the apartment’s location and did not feel unsafe at any time, even when we got back late at night. With the assistance of the neighborhood map Michael provided, we quickly became familiar with the metro stops and found our way around with ease. The map even included ATM sites, which was convenient. I liked that there was a large grocery store nearby as well as other small convenience stores and most importantly bakeries, which I totally miss now! Never had a croissant as delicious as the ones we ate there. I had been in Paris some years ago and found the people rude and arrogant and left with the sense that I would not return; this trip was just the opposite. This experience was so positive from the initial contact with Michael, the people at the café where we picked up the keys from, Philippe who checked us in, some of the building tenants we encountered, grocery store staff and customer who explained to us that we needed to have a bag to put in our groceries, to the lovely couple at the books store right around the building. Will definitely recommend this apartment and hope to return! Thanks Michael and Philippe for your hospitality!

This is my second visit to Michael's studio! it is safe, comfortable and cozy. There are great places, like chesse shops and coffee right around the corner. Also there is a great cooking school on the next street 'Cooking with Class.' In additon, it is very close to metro stops. Michael is great and the place is reasonable from a cost perspective. It is very sunny and airy! I highly recommend it!

Great apartment in a charming and convenient location. Michael provides all that you need including a map of all the amenities in your new Montmartre neighborhood and a box of information about Paris. Even helps with the cab system which is impossible without French. A good host.
