Was ihr unternehmen werdet

During the class, you will be led through a myofascial yin yoga class, where you will be learning and performing self myofascial release techniques on yourself (props are provided!), moving into various yoga poses (you don't have to be flexible!), and lastly, ending in a sweet restorative pose that may even lead you off to sleep on your mat ;) Not sure what myofascial work is about? Imagine receiving a deep tissue massage, except you are the one giving yourself the needed pressure! Working into the muscles, ligaments, and fascia, the idea is to have you walk away as if you have just gotten a massage... but cheaper ;) If you are working with any injuries or limitations, please let me know beforehand if you can. Most of the time, a practice can be customised for you so you can still enjoy the benefits. Sore back? Tight shoulders? Slept funny last night? All the more reason to come along! The entire experience will end with some hot tea to go along with, if you choose so. The studio is set up for the purpose of relaxation and yoga practicing. All props are provided, including mats.

Hello! I am a qualified yoga instructor, and have been teaching to people of different language/cultural background, body structures, and ability levels. Apart from my initial teaching certification, I have since attended multiple courses in yoga therapy, yoga anatomy and Thai massage, to name just a few. My educational background is in Psychology, and I am currently completing my post graduate studies in Psychology too. I speak English fluently as my first language, and am able to give you some guidance through your practice in (my not so fluent, but passable!) Mandarin as well if required. Depending on your needs, I will be able to customize the class so you can receive the maximum benefits for yourself. If the time don't suit, please contact me and perhaps we can work a private session out for you? :)

Wo ihr sein werdet

We will be having this experience at a lovely studio in Parnell, Auckland. The space will be entirely private for us during this time. Showers are available if needed, however it is unlikely that you will sweat much during the experience. Parking is available if needed, with more details sent to you the day before. Doors will open 15 minutes before the start of experience.

You do not need to be flexible or have any prior knowledge of yoga to attend this experience :) This is a shoes-off event but you may have socks on if you prefer. Please dress comfortably to allow unrestricted movement of your body.
