Take a culinary journey through Central Mexico while you learn, drink, eat and meet new and fun people. In this class you'll learn to make contemporary Mexican food, a combination of street food and the food a family would share at home. This will be a hands-on experience that will help you learn new cooking techniques and learn about the Mexican culture and traditions, as well as learn how to replicate these techniques and recipes in your home kitchen. Our class will take a culinary journey through Central Mexico, using fundamental and traditional Mexican kitchen ingredients and tools.
We’ll first prepare a starter and some margaritas. Next, we'll cook an ancient dish that is a staple to the Mexican cuisine. We will then learn how to make a variety of salsas, using ancient and modern techniques. You will learn to prepare a salsa in less than 5 min, and also more complex salsas that are sure to impress. Then, we'll prepare two main dishes, including tamales and hand made corn tortillas. For dessert, we'll be making some churros from scratch, paired with Mexican hot chocolate. Finally, you’ll have a chance to relax and enjoy your creations.
