Hola, my name is Carlos! This Sherry & Tapas Tour is a 3-4 hour tour experience visiting 4 different bars in a small group tour with a maximum of 8 people. I am passionate and knowledgable regarding the local cuisine and wine. I am wine-certified with WSET (Level 2). I will explain how each sherry is produced, all the different types of sherry, how to do a wine tasting, local cuisine and explain about wine and food pairings. Expect to hear all about local traditions and cultural anecdotes through each of the tapas, as the food in each tapa/ración will tell a different story, and it will tell part of the culture and history of Vejer from the Phoenicians and Romans to the Moors and Christians. We will also learn about local traditions and culture when stopping at interesting points of the village between tapa bars.
All 5 sherries, and 5 tapas are included, we will be tasting a variety of tapas such as anchovies in vinegar, Iberian ham, bull's meat, salmorejo or bluefin tuna, depending on the season, and finish with moorish influenced dish like moorish desserts or eggplant with honey. Tapas will be paired with a sherry, or wine, if you prefer alternative beverages can be provided.
