The class is 6 hours or more depending on the needs of the learners. This session is to learn materials, tools and techniques. You will be finished piecing your mosaic in this session. I recommend that you have an idea of what you would like to portray in your mosaic. I will have reference materials available if you need help deciding what you want to do. Water, coffee and tea will be available with some snacks during the first session. 1. review safety precautions when working with glass 2. learn the different tools used in creating mosaics 3. learn about different types of glass and their properties 4. discuss ideas for your creation and how to make it happen with glass 5. learn how to plan out your piece of art 6. choose materials and get started 7. work on mosaic instructor to interact with leaning artist as needed learning how to finish your mosaic: If your mosaic is not ready for grouting by the end of the class you will be given instruction and a take home kit so you can do it at your leisure.
