Was ihr unternehmen werdet

On offer is a jam-packed immersion into the unique bushland of Western Australia that does not require hours of driving but is conveniently located in the Darling Range only 35 minutes east from the Perth CBD or 20 minutes from the airport.
After arriving at the Rural Landscape property you will be guided through a 30 minute bush walk highlighting the natural features of the environment and interesting facts about First Nation people and non- indigenous settlement. The bush track passes through an abandoned quarry that provided stone to build the roads for the foundation infrastructure of the state. A moderate level of fitness is required to go up slight inclines but several stops along the way are included for photography.
You will be rewarded upon return with light refreshments of Billy Tea pumpkin scones.
To conclude the experience you will create your own souvenir canvas print inspired by your walk. A choice of screen-print templates will be available to form the basis of your print. Don’t worry everyone can enjoy making art and there will be hands-on guidance showing how to creatively apply a choice of paint colour to represent your experience in the Helena Valley bushland.
I can’t wait to meet - let’s get started!

I am an education expert with 20 years teaching about the environment and art. My goal is to inspire adventurous travellers with the sights, sounds and scents of this unique Western Australian bushland setting.
The experience starts at a Helena Valley Rural Landscape Living property which is home to various indigenous plant and animal species and is accredited as “Land for Wildlife” by the Department of Parks and Wildlife. With a proven record as a Super host to 1000 guests since 2016, I look forward to extending my hospitality to morning tea and sharing a quintessential Australian refreshment of Billy tea and home-made pumpkin scones under the Marri trees after returning from our 30 minute bush walk.

Wo ihr sein werdet

We take a secluded bush track from the property not accessible by vehicles and pass through an abandoned quarry significant to WA's development. On the way you will stop to view and photograph the panoramic Perth skyline. This landscape as well as the unique flora and fauna of the track will inspire the art workshop held back in the studio where we first meet. The experience takes place in all weather but the order may change to suit conditions.

If you want a great day out in the picturesque Darling Range hills overlooking Perth, this experience is for you. Michelle is an informative guide and shares lots of interesting facts about the local flora and fauna and history of the area. You will see typical Eastern Perth bushland and experience sensational views of the city (Instagram worthy photos aplenty 🤗). This was followed by delicious billy tea and home made scones, jam and cream. Lastly we were treated to a painting lesson with Trenton (who is an experienced landscape artist and teacher). He makes painting easy and fun even for beginners. Our group enjoyed lots of banter and shared stories as we worked on our individual souvenir, take-home paintings which will fit easily into a small suitcase if you are a traveler. Really handy for time strapped tourists (who want to experience ‘the bush’ ) as Michelle’s property is 20 minutes from the airport 👍

What a beautiful, uniquely Australian experience. Thanks so much to our hosts Michelle and Trenton for their knowledge on flora , fauna and local history. Very interesting. The billy tea was simply perfect after the walk. Not to mention the delicious pumpkin scones and home made preserves. Very spoilt. The experience was topped off with a painting inspired by our very scenic bush walk. Trenton was fantastic at guiding even the novice of artist ( myself) into creating my take home piece of art. I thoroughly recommend the Billy Tea , Bush walk and paintbrush for a wonderful , scenic , informative and a lot of fun experience. Thanks again to the wonderful super hosts ,Michelle and Trenton.

What a wonderful experience! Warmly greeted by our hosts. Started with a lovely bush walk - beautiful scenery and wonderful insights into the history of the area and the local flora and fauna. Followed by a delicious billy tea and delightful morning tea. We were then led into a beautiful art studio with sweeping views to tap into our creative abilities. With a lot of help from our host we each created a painting inspired by our walk. What an inspiring and unique experience. I definitely recommend!
