Beginning in Kathmandu, we’ll fly to the town of Lukla and begin our trek through the Himalayas to Ama Dablam base camp. We’ll hike anywhere from three to seven hours on each day of this seven-day trekking journey, witnessing panoramic vistas, colorful Sherpa towns, fir tree forests, monasteries, and herds of yak along the way. Each night we’ll stay at a classic teahouse in a mountain settlement along our route. On day six we’ll hike the last stretch to Ama Dablam base camp, at an elevation of 4,570 meters (14,993 ft) and enjoy the unforgettable views. Finally, we’ll trek back to Lukla before we fly back to Kathmandu.
