Was ihr unternehmen werdet

We begin the tour by visiting one of the City's above ground cemeteries, St. Joseph’s, where your tour guide will tell you about the unique way New Orleans celebrates death and why our cemeteries are called “cities of the dead”.

We then roll under the shade of the live oak tree lined streets of the Garden District. You will marvel at the beautiful mansions owned by wealthy merchants of the past and celebrities of the present.

Time permitting, we will cruise through the Irish Channel to see its colorful shotgun houses, neighborhood restaurants, and hole-in-the-wall po’boy shops. You’ll enjoy a great view of New Orleans’ “Uptown” in 2 to 2.5 hours.

Other things to note:
We will provide you with a bottle of water but it is advisable that you bring an additional one.
Please dress for the weather and be prepared to be in the sun. Closed-toed shoes are recommended.
Helmets are not required in the City of New Orleans, but we will provide you with one.
Tour is approximately 2 to 2.5 hours long.

COVID-19 Precautions Effective 8/16/21
To keep our guests and staff as safe as possible, all individuals who are eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine must provide evidence of VACCINATION or a NEGATIVE COVID-19 TEST (taken within 72 hours) before being allowed to participate.
We appreciate your kindness and patience as New Orleans strives to deal with this 4th wave.

I am co-founder of Paved Paradise Bike Tours. I've been a licensed tour guide for 8 years. I love sharing my city with people looking to experience more than just the well-beaten path. I hope some of the things you'll see will take up residence in your heart, too.

Wo ihr sein werdet

The cemeteries, Irish Channel and the Garden District neighborhoods are some of the most picturesque areas in the City. Art, music, architecture, food and history blanket every square foot. We'll delve into the burial customs, history, art, architecture, music, and lives of New Orleans and her "Cities of the Dead". We'll pedal past sights you'll definitely want to revisit for a spell (sometimes a literal one).

Great time with Tonya . If you enjoy architecture this is a must do tour. Loved that it combines the cemetery with the garden district. The bikes were in great condition and i didn’t feel in any danger from the traffic. If weather is cold, do DRESS warm!!!

Sara was a wonderful guide, who was able to weave in a lot of information and answer almost any question we had. She was good with names, funny, and had a great local perspective. The tour is not physically demanding and goes at an easy pace if you have less experienced riders in your group. We walked to Magazine street afterward for lunch that is nearby.

Really recommend this tour! Awesome combo of history and sightseeing. We learned so much and saw lots of areas of the city we hadn’t seen yet.

A great tour. We were lucky enough to be the only two people on the tour on a Sunday afternoon, so we got to see a lot of sights and hear the history around these places. The bikes were very convenient and the length was perfect. Our host was very knowledgeable and made the tour interesting through facts instead of resorting to sensationalism (which is the reason I usually avoid such tours as they can be too dumbed-down). I highly recommend a tour like this to go deeper into the history of New Orleans - I would have never learnt so much from a guide book or self-guided tour.
