In this experience you'll learn how to make the genovese PESTO sauce pounding all the ingredients in the marble mortar of my grandmother. She gave it to me together with the secrets of her special pesto recipe. So you're welcome and the experience will start with a glass of Prosecco wine that defenetely helps you to pound the fresh basil, the parmesan, the pinenuts and the garlic. When the pesto will be ready and creamy you will taste it with the testaroli, a typical local kind of pasta, and one glass of white wine. At the end you'll leave with the knowledge of my special and unique grandmother's recipe.

The Restaurant is located outside the train station of Riomaggiore (Cinque Terre); the place is coastal and cosy that helps you to relax and enjoy the xperience. It's a very easy place to join, there are no stairs (just few steps to enter in the restaurant)

We had a very nice experience making pesto with Luca. He startet the event by telling us some interesting stories about the history of pesto and his own experience with it. Afterwards we made our own bowl of pesto. The pesto is handmade which is a lot of fun! While making the pesto you get the chance to enjoy a glass of wine. Of course once you’re done you will eat the very tasty handmade pesto. Luca served it to us together with some special noodles that looked like pancakes and tasted sooooo good!! So if you’re in Riomaggiore, take the chance and visit Luca to experience pesto in a way you’ll never forget!

I had a great experience! Luca was very friendly and helpful, I got to not just learn how to make a delicious pesto, but also learnt about the roots of pesto traditions. The host later made us a tasty pasta which we had a chance to taste with the pesto that we made with a glass of chilled wine! Also, the location is extremely. I would totally recommend this to everyone!
