Was ihr unternehmen werdet

11:00【Meeting Place・Time 】
Please meet at my great-grand parent’s home which is a 1 minute walk from Metro Hibiya Line Iriya station / 5 minute walk from JR Line Uguisudani station. The room is in a very traditional Japanese style, so guests feel like they have returned to 1950’s Tokyo.
【Select a Kimono】
Select your favorite Kimono and “Obi” ribbon from my collection and join me in a traditional “kitsuke” kimono dressing ceremony.
12:00【Let's start the walking tour!】
1. Kappabashi street
We start our tour with a walk down the historical Kappabashi street known for its culinary equipment and dishware. You can stop by the famous food sample shops, to see rows upon rows of ultra-realistic plastic versions of all sorts of dishes and ingredients.
2. Asakusa temple "Sensoji"
Next, we keep moving on to Sensoji Temple, in Asakusa. Let’s explore the beauty of Japan’s oldest temple while learning about Sensoji’s history and how to do traditional Japanese buddhist prayer.
3. Nakamise street
During our tour of Sensoji we can explore “Nakamise-dori” and the tasty and local food vendors and souvenir shops.
4. Azuma bridge
Let's take a photo on behind of the elegant and soaring Tokyo Skytree, Japan’s tallest building!
15:00【Finish tour】
After arriving back home, I will help you change back to your everyday attire. Let’s take a break and relax with some traditional Japanese tea!

Hi, I'm Yukako, born and raised right in Asakusa. After graduating university, I went abroad to pursue my passion for different cultures and studied in both Germany and the US.
After that, I worked as a cabin crew for a middle eastern airline for 4 years, getting to jet set across the world ; to date I've traveled to over 80 countries.
After flying life, I moved to Mexico to work, and maybe indulge in my love of Tequila and Tacos.
After crisscrossing the world for 8 years, I finally decided to come back home to Tokyo. Just like the world opened up homes to me, I want to welcome you to my hometown and show you around on a walking tour in true Japanese Kimono style!
Not only do I love wearing a traditional Japanese Kimono myself, I am a qualified and licensed professional Kimono-dresser trained in the art of “Kitsuke”.
