Was ihr unternehmen werdet

After stopping at Maui’s 1st Vegetarian Health food store we’ll go to a small little gem of a beach where you might take a quick dip, walk the beautiful shoreline or see huge turtles sunbathing. Usually 2-4 turtles are there at any given time. Next, we’ll connect with our inner OM and walk a labyrinth in a forest location where we will set intentions we want to be realized. They also have a great gift store with reasonable prices.

The finally leg of our adventure will be to learn a little Hawaiian history & culture & explore Kepaniwai Park Heritage Gardens. The gardens memorialize the multicultural history of Maui, with buildings and gardens representing Hawaiian, Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese, Korean, Filipino, Puerto Rican and Afrikan American cultures.

Taking the high road from the gardens we will travel up to view Kuka’emoku a 1200 ft crater peak better known as Iao Needle and learn about the fierce battle in 1790 between the Big Islands chief Kamehameha & chief Kalanikupule’s warriors on Maui where the IAO river ran red with blood.

If you’re up for an off the beaten track adventure on Maui that encompasses Vegetarian food, the Ocean & Turtles, Spirituality, and Hawaiian History & Culture then book with me. I would love to host you.

Sometimes because of cloud cover at IAO valley I might start the trip with Kepaniwai Park & IAO Needle and end with the Labyrinth.

I've been a Vegetarian for 40 years, a Vegetarian Chef for 15 years and a Health Coach for 2 years. I am passionate about eating healthy food and encouraging others to eat better and lead a healthy lifestyle. Finding good Vegetarian/ Vegan food is hard while traveling. I provide a list of healthy Vegetarian/ Vegan places to eat on Maui.

I have lived on Maui for 15 years and worked at Haleakala Natl. Park for 5 years where I studied the Hawaiian history, culture, geology, birds and celestial navigation to give 15 minute interpretative talks to Park visitors. I know a host of places that visitors rarely go because most of them stay on the West Side of Maui.

Mana Foods Health food store in Paia was the first on Maui. Its been around since the 1970's. Turtle beach is in Paia where locals go and visitors don't usually know it exists. Haiku is the location for the Labyrinth walk. Kepaniwai Park - Heritage Gardens is near Wailuku Heights. Travel time between sites runs approx. 45 minutes + depending on traffic.

We wouldn't have found the turtle beach or the Labrynth on our own. The botanicals at the Labrynth were spectacular. Adesina shared a lot of history about the different Kings and battles of Maui that were bery interesting. We had a great afternoon!

Adessina offers a unique perspective of Maui. She offers insight and background into the areas visited and can be a great resources for vegetarians or vegans. We were lucky enough to see 13 turtles at the beach in Paia and got to watch one slowly make its way up the beach. We truly enjoyed the Sacred Gardens. The botanicals are unique and fascinating and we loved learning the history of labyrinths. On our trip to Iao Valley Adessia offered great insight into the history of the island, something you cannot get simply visiting on your own. Thank you Adessina!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this adventure with Adesina! She took us to a couple places we wouldn’t have seen on our own, and it was great to learn some amazing history and culture as well! I absolutely loved the labyrinth and it was such an incredible place to visit, and I was so happy to go with someone who had been there many times before. Highly recommend this!

What a wonderful adventure we had today. I especially loved seeing the turtles on this out of the way little beach. I actually swam near a hugh turtle! Walking the Labyrinth was a time to quiet the mind from all this vacation busyness and go into the stillness- feeling the rustle of the trees and the wind in my hair. It was nice to learn about how so much diversity was brought to these islands. I highly recommend booking the Turtles, Labyrinth & Peak experience. I loved it.

AirBnB review I love coming to Maui serveral times a year. This time i booked the Turtles, Labryinth & Peaks tour. Mana foods is one of my faviorite stopping places to pick up affordable healthy food. I'm a history buff so while I enjoyed the Turtle beach and the Labryinth walk in the forest I especially enjoyed learning about the history & cultural of Kepaniwai Heritage Gardens that honored all the muilt- cultural people brought here to work the sugar cane & pineapple fields and the great battle between Kamehameha the Great's warriors and those of Maui's royal son Kepaniwai forces who was defeated at Iao stream in a bloody battle in 1790. Our host Adesina had a wealth of information that i found every interesting, I would recommend this tour to locals from the another island like me, as much as to those visiting from the mainland!

I absolutely loved my Turtles, Labyrinth & Peaks experience with Adesina.😍 She was very informative about Vegetarian/ Vegan places to eat on Maui & we had an Acaia bowl at Choice in Paia. We saw 6 hugh turtles close up at secret beach and the Labyrinth walk in the tropical setting was divine. However bring mosquito spray. The historical park was nice & photogenic and i enjoyed climbing the 103 steps to see the Iao Needle. I took great photo shots of the view. I will do the tour again when I came back with my girlfriends next month.
