Xin Chao! My name is Duyến or you can just call me Jane :)

I was born and grew up in a small village south of Hanoi City. For 7 years I have been showing people around Vietnam and it has allowed me
to give travellers those real authentic local experiences.

I have been involved in many volunteer projects and ways of helping local communities and I continue to do that with all my trips by taking you to less touristic places.

See you soon :) cheers !

Wo ihr sein werdet

The local countryside villages I will be taking you to are about 25-30 km South of Hanoi City. I can assure you, you won't see another tourist whilst we are there. We will take our own private transport throughout the day from Hanoi around the villages.

Duyen (Jane) is high energy and authentic. She is organized but also allows for organic changes to the schedule. She is very knowledgeable, her English is superb. We had an incredible day. Any one of the three villages alone would be worth the time to visit and learn how the respective handicraft is done: basket weaving, incense making, and conical hat making...all in a non-touristy manner. The lunch was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this tour and it was Duyen who made it happen.

I'm so glad I took this tour. Jane is a fantastic host, very friendly and attentive, and able to give many insights into the culture, history and contemporary workings of the craft industry in the villages that we visited. It's fascinating to see the process and interact with some of the people and families involved, as well as take in the beauty of locations like the incense village. We also had a delicious home cooked meal with one family, characteristic of the overall intimate, personalised nature of the whole experience. Couldn't recommend enough!

I had such an amazing time on this tour with Jane! She was so kind and friendly right from the beginning. We were able to get out of the hectic city and see another and truly authentic side of Vietnam. On this tour we got a chance to see how they weaved the traditional Vietnamese hats and also where they make the incense used in temples. We got to see a bamboo village and interact with local people and hear about their way of life. This tour was a great way to see another part of Vietnamese life and to help support local people in a more rural area. You will have a blast on this tour with Jane and create memories for a life time : )

I told Jane I wish she wouldn’t have this on AirBNB because she takes you craft villages that don’t see many tourists. A clear view into traditional crafts and life in rural Vietnam, this tour gives you the perfect perspective on generational craft making and traditions of Vietnam. I knew Jane was special from the moment I booked, responsive and kind, she picked me up from my hotel on time (even though I wasn’t!) The driver was professional and Jane told me all about life in the villages of Vietnam. We visited the bamboo village where we were invited into homes and told stories of local lives, the conical hat village we got to see the process from start to finish and even enjoy a home made meal with a local artisan and her family. The last stop, although the shortest, was gorgeous, the incense village was spectacular and so hot. Clearly not used to foreigners, we were invited to different production buildings to see the vivid colors and smell the traditional incense smell. Although I’d rather keep these villages a secret, this tour with Jane will be one of the highlights of my time in Vietnam. Seeing true Vietnam and their artisans was truly life changing. Thank you Jane for the AMAZING tour.
