After being greeted with aloha, we will collect onto my back lanai to start learning about Ayurveda. This is a ancient system of healing for the mind, body, & spirit. First there will be a short questionnaire-you will choose best fitting answers to find your dosha (A dosha is your individual constitution & is how you can tell when you, as an individual are in or out of balance). This is why some diets, exercise, or fads may work for your neighbor but not for you). I will hand out take-home sheets of information specific to each person's dosha. This will contain particular exercises, foods, essential oils, and other daily principles to practice to keep you at your healthiest! From there we will learn the importance & practice together what is listed on the sheet. First we will go through a yoga asana sequence, secondly we'll create an essential oil blend to do abhyanga (self-massage) to massage onto our feet/bodies, and lastly we will do a light pranayama (breathing exercise) to create a grounded, relaxing sensation while laying down for a guided meditation. Upon ending this healing of body, mind, & spirit - each person will receive a "goodie" bag which will have tools to help you start your healing journey after you leave.
